Our favourite local villages
Visit Bolton Abbey where you'll find the famous 12th Century Priory Ruins and over 80 miles of footpaths through some of the most beautiful countryside in England. You'll find a challenging but spectacular walk starting from the Pavilion at Bolton Abbey, through Barden and Appletreewick, all the way up to Grassington.
Grassington is another market town in North Yorkshire where you can discover the Music and Arts Festival in June and the Dickensian Festival in December.
Betty's Tea Room is known far and wide. We're lucky to have one on our doorstop in Ilkey. Visit Betty's after a brisk walk on Ilkey Moor exploring the Cow and Calf Rocks.
