Overview

Beautiful homes for you and your family

Elsey Croft is an exceptional development of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes in the charming market town of Skipton in North Yorkshire. With beautiful views of local farmland, the development offers contemporary living in a rural setting.

Without compromise
We want our homeowners to benefit from the quality assurances a modern home provides without losing the traditional character of an older home, which is why all our homes at Elsey Croft are built out of natural, locally sourced stone and feature a traditional architectural style that references Yorkshire's past.

Your home in the Yorkshire Dales
Skipton is considered the ‘Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales’ and was voted ‘Best Place to Live’ by the Sunday Times in 2014. Take a walk down the High Street and explore Skipton’s hidden alleys and you’ll see why it received this accolade. Skipton was judged on its idyllic location, vibrant community, good schools, its 900 year old castle, a high street dominated by independent stores and cafes and the general quality of life.

Our Homes
Known for going one step further, we build quality homes that your and your family can enjoy for years to come.

The Yorkshire Dales on your doorstep
Are you a lover of the great outdoors? Located close to the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Skipton is surrounded by beautiful countryside ready for you to explore.

Our favourite local villages
Visit Bolton Abbey where you'll find the famous 12th Century Priory Ruins and over 80 miles of footpaths through some of the most beautiful countryside in England. You'll find a challenging but spectacular walk starting from the Pavilion at Bolton Abbey, through Barden and Appletreewick, all the way up to Grassington.

Grassington is another market town in North Yorkshire where you can discover the Music and Arts Festival in June and the Dickensian Festival in December.

Betty's Tea Room is known far and wide. We're lucky to have one on our doorstop in Ilkey. Visit Betty's after a brisk walk on Ilkey Moor exploring the Cow and Calf Rocks.

There's plenty to do in Skipton. We personally reccommend:
  • The Mart Theatre - a venue for theatre, music, stand up and family shows

  • Craven Swimming Pool and Fitness Centre - featuring a large pool, regular fitness classes and a fully equipped gym

  • Skipton Gala - for over a century the gala has raised money for local charities and organisations

  • Skipton Yuletide Festival and Christmas Market - full of local food stalls and things to do for the whole family
  • Local Shopping

    A Charming market town
Skipton has retained its old world charm and features beautiful high street full of national and independent sotres. It also has four large chain food stores so you needn't go any further for your weekly shop.

    About Developer

    Passion, excellence, family values…

We like to think we’re a little bit different to other housing developers. We approach every development with passion…… every home is a personal project. We are perfectionists. We build homes that we ourselves could put our feet up in at the end of a long day and we are always trying to be better. Delivering a standard of excellence is our goal…average is not good enough.

We understand how important your new home is. It’s a sanctuary. A place to make memories. A place for family and friends. This understanding is at the heart of everything we do.

We have been building homes since 1986. To date, we’ve created homes for over 3000 families. We’ve built a team of long serving and trusted craftsmen who excel in their field of expertise. We are proud of their contribution. Our staff know our homes. They know our values. They are a part of our extended family.
