Description
Kelvinside is an area in the city of Glasgow. It is situated north of the River Clyde and is bounded by Great Western Road to the South with Kelvindale and the River Kelvin itself to its North. It is known as one of the most affluent areas of Glasgow, with many large villas, similar to those found in Pollokshields in the South Side. It encompasses other smaller areas such as Cleveden and Kirklee. There are a number of larger supermarkets and other grocery stores in and around the area. The newly restored Botanic Gardens and Kelvingrove Park offer a peaceful refuge from city life. Kelvindale Train Station is a small walk away.
About the area
Glasgow is one of the UK’s most dynamic, lively and cosmopolitan places to be. In recent years it has been transformed from the industrial heart of ship building into a cultural centre of style, where fantastic shopping, outstanding nightlife and world renowned art collections are perfectly framed by the architecture of Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
Just a couple of miles from the city centre, you’ll find the shops, bars, restaurants and coffee shops of the highly fashionable and sought after West End. On the edge of this desirable area, in an established residential location, you’ll discover the handsome new homes of our Kelvindale Glade development. Here we’re creating a fine collection of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and five styles of 3 bedroom townhouse for you to choose from, all close to the waters of the Forth & Clyde Canal and River Kelvin. Kelvindale Glade has it all. From schools for children of all ages to superb transport links, there’s everything you need to live today’s busy lifestyle to the full, close by.
