Description
Located in a pleasant rural area of Wivelsfield, we are creating a delightful environment for people of all ages to enjoy.
Green corridors are to be created throughout the site to provide an enriched ecological environment, along with the planting of native thicket including fruit and nut-bearing species to promote wildlife.
The homes will be set within a quiet cul-de-sac bordered by picturesque open countryside, and the carefully planned development will also retain a selection of mature trees and green open space for the new residents to enjoy.
About the area
The village of Wivelsfield is bordered by Burgess Hill to the west and Chailey to the east. It’s a rural location but with easy access to modern day entertainment and amenities, within Burgess Hill itself and also in Haywards Heath.
The village has a community hall used by local clubs and societies, a recreation ground with sports facilities, a pub, a new primary school, Wivelsfield railway station and the Little Theatre drama and social club.
Specification
This new development of just fifty four 2, 3 & 4 bedroom homes and apartments is designed to appeal to a very broad audience – everyone from first time buyers to older downsizers, from young professionals to growing families.
Wivelsfield is a uniquely appealing rural location on the edge of the vibrant and expanding town of Burgess Hill. It’s surrounded by pretty villages and has good road access to Brighton and the rest of the South Coast.

For leisure and days out, a host of attractions is located just a short distance from the new development – the south coast is an easy drive away for days out at the beach, while stretching from the South Downs to the Surrey border is pretty countryside dotted with historic houses, famous gardens and lovely villages.
Your precious leisure time will be well taken care of when you make your home at Gainsborough Place. In the village itself there’s a recreation ground with a children’s play area plus facilities for cricket, football and stoolball – the forerunner of cricket. The village hall plays host to craft fairs and local club meetings, as well as the Wivelsfield Little Theatre which puts on performances, organises trips, and holds social events such as quiz nights and barbecues.
The surrounding countryside is ripe for exploring, on foot, bicycle or even on horseback. Just 10 miles to the South are the seaside delights and quirky shops, cafes and bars of Brighton for a truly memorable day out. Burgess Hill Golf Centre will provide you with some excellent golf, and at Olympos in Burgess Hill you’ll find well equipped sports facilities, the Inca Health & Fitness Club and Aztec Waters.
