Following the success of 2014's Totally Thames Festival, when we sponsored Hippopo Thames by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman, Wanda One UK are delighted to have sponsored 'A Mile in my Shoes' at the Totally Thames Festival 2015. A Mile in my Shoes was a unique audio portrait of the people of Wandsworth created with local residents and presented as an interactive shoe shop. Wanda One will continue to support local events and make a positive contribution to the area throughout the construction process.

Our contractors are committed to making a positive contribution to the local community. During the demolition process our contractors McGee recycled 98% of demolition materials and supported a school by donating several tables, whiteboards and pin boards which are now being put to good use in their Special Educational Needs department. McGee are supporters of Breast Cancer Awareness Day and in October 2015 all contractors 'wore it pink' for the day on site and a cake sale was held to help raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. In October 2015 groundwork contractor Balfour Beatty held a site visit for 30 local work experience students. The day was a great success and the on site team will be looking to hold further events as construction works progress.

Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS)

The site has been registered with the national CCS scheme. As part of this initiative, we keep in regular contact with our neighbours, provide regular updates on progress, inspect the site hoardings regularly and keep the appearance of the site clean and tidy.

We are delighted to announce that our main contractor McGee has been selected for a Considerate Constructor's Scheme National Site Award for the demolition works at One Nine Elms carried out in 2014 and 2015. The prestigious awards ceremony will be taking place on 28th April where McGee will be presented with either a bronze, silver or gold award.
