Virtual Viewings Now Available from Abode

As part of our commitment to providing the best possible service to landlords and tenants, we are delighted to now offer virtual viewings on select properties.

We are one of the first letting agents in Bristol to offer this immersive way to view properties without being there physically; properties can be viewed on a computer, mobile phone, tablet or even with a virtual reality headset.

These 3D virtual tours allow prospective tenants to explore a property and get a real understanding of the size and layout which cannot always be gauged through traditional 2D photography or video.

How Does It Work?

The software uses a camera to create a 3D model of the property, measuring the depth and distance of each room to generate an accurate representation.

This enables viewers to 'walk through' the property with a 360 view, exploring the various rooms of the home as if they were there.

Prospective tenants will also be able to see a dollhouse view of the property, a floorplan and utilise a native measurement tool allowing them to measure distances within the property.

The virtual viewings are created with a specialist camera which captures the property in its entirety - we have trained several members of staff to be able to use this equipment.

Lettings Services for Bristol Landlords

Abode Property Management work closely with all our landlords - whether they happen to be based in Bristol or abroad. Our Managing Director and owner, Steven Harris, liaises with new landlords to establish their exact requirements.

Where some landlords require only limited support such as simply a Viewings Service, others may be located overseas, have large portfolios or have busy work lives and prefer Full Property Management with more regular feedback. We are always keen to help, whether you have a small studio apartment or a large portfolio of properties.

We aim to minimise the voids between tenancies. On average, this is only 8 days including a period of 5 days for any work which is required.

Mike moved to Bristol to study Real Estate Valuation and Management. He joined Abode in 2006 and is perfectly placed with many years of experience.

Deborah Mitchell - New Business Manager

With over nineteen years experience in the residential lettings industry, Deborah's role within Abode is to build up new business. Whether you are a landlord with a single investment property or a developer with large residential developments within the City, Debs can guide you on current market trends, property and tenant demands and all other residential letting requirements.

When Debs isn't advising potential clients in the world of lettings, she can be found running around the lanes and streets of North Somerset and Bristol, walking her three sausage dogs or running around after her family, all whilst dreaming about lying on a beach in Thailand.

Ben Curme - Operations Director

Ben has been with Abode since the very first day it opened. He is the font of all knowledge and has nearly twenty years of experience in property management and lettings.

When Ben is not managing Team Abode, you will find him camping with his three young daughters, Elsie, Nancy and Tilly. Ben is your typical family man and can sing along to the entire soundtrack of 'Frozen'.

Kerry has been looking after the financial side of Abode for over ten years. She has extensive knowledge in accounting procedures and finance from having worked in the industry for the past eighteen years.

When Kerry is not managing the accounts, she will be socialising with her friends or doing activities with her young son, Georgie.

Pete Firth - Property Manager

Property maintenance and DIY have always been a passion for Pete. After he left school, he joined and then ran a hardware shop in Redland. He later worked as an Architects Assistant, managing and handling the maintenance for his large portfolio of properties.

When Pete is not helping his tenants, you can find him practising his own DIY at his home in Redland or enjoying the local Bristol ales.

When Maria is not drawing up student tenancy agreements, you can find her walking her dog and doing mad things for charity - Maria once did a tandem parachute 13,000 ft high and raised £600!
