    Acres was founded by three highly experienced partners; Nigel Deekes, Michael Weaver and Richard Bakewell.

    The partners had been within the property industry for many years and offered a wealth of knowledge and experience having been both regional and area managers for a large multi national group after the sale of a previous successful business.

    In recent years Acres has become a family owned business with the partners Nigel & Jayne Deekes now running the company, joined by both Chris and Katie their children Acres now offer a truly bespoke personal service.

    Looking where the corporate agencies were, the partners knew that we offered something different for the Sutton Coldfield property market that was missing, a personal proactive service.

    Growing steadily and expanding from a new start Acres soon established ourselves as the sales team within the area. Acres bring together property experts and can supply every property need under one roof.

    Katie Deekes - Senior Sales Negotiator

    Katrina Deekes commenced her career within estate agency upon completion of her Law and Business studies course. Having worked initially for a corporate agency within the Lettings market, incorporating all aspects of the lettings field Katie subsequently found her true calling within estate agency, being sales.

    Katie joined Acres, her family's independently owned and run business in 2019. Katie is based at our busy Walmley office dealing with all aspects of the sales and buying process, helping both vendors and purchasers with their property move. Katie enjoys keeping healthy and fit in her own time and loves spending time with friends and family.

    Katie joins Acres with many years of administrative, secretarial and customer-facing experience across a number of sectors including retail, accountancy and the construction industry. "My work ethic and organisational, administrative skills sit well in this role, as I am passionate about customer service and have a creative eye for detail. I love speaking to our clients and building a rapport with them, trying to ensure that whether they are selling or buying with us (or both), we deliver the best possible service. When I am not wearing my work hat, I am a busy mother of two teenagers and try my best to lead a simple healthy lifestyle, walking and running lots. I have completed several marathons and done fund-raising for a number of local charities."

    Having working in agency since leaving college I have gained a great deal of experience both in sales, marketing, and placing property on the market.During my time with Acres I have established some fantastic relationships with fellow colleagues, as well as purchasers and vendors alike. As someone who enjoys building rapport with each and every person that walks through our door, you'll often find me sat at the front of our Walmley branch with a smile and an offer of a hot or cold drink!I enjoy all things sport, especially football, and regularly take part in varying activities throughout the week with friends and family.
