Renting a property with Ashtons

    • Once you have found a property you are interested in contact the office to arrange a viewing.
    • Once you have viewed you will then need to submit an application to the office this is in the form of a simple questionnaire.
    • Subject to your landlord agreeing to accept your application to the proposed tenancy you will be asked to pay your holding deposit which is equivalent to one week's rent. This will be deducted off your first month's rent once you proceed to move in to the property. Once this has been received we will mark the property as let and commence referencing.
    • Referencing is done via an online referencing portal called Vouch. A link will be emailed to you to complete the form. Please be aware that your income should be 2.5 times the annual rent. If you require a guarantor their income should be 3 times to the annual rent.
    • You will be asked to provide to the office copies of your photograph ID - passport or driving licence.
    • Once the referencing is complete we will arrange your tenancy commencement date and send out tenancy documentation for signature and return in readiness for the tenancy commencing.
    • The first month's rent and deposit will be payable by bank transfer a couple of days before your tenancy commences.
    • On the day of your tenancy commencing you will be asked to come to our office to collect your tenancy pack and keys for the property.
