    • The firm is run by the two directors, Nick Berriman and Caroline Eaton, with David Berriman as a consultant. Between us we have over one hundred years of professional experience within the local market. Created in 2006 by the amalgamation of David Berriman and Eaton Estates both of which have their roots in Walker Barnett and Hill, the old established Wolverhampton multi discipline firm of Estate Agents and Auctioneers which dated back to 1780 when it was started by Randle Walker.

      We feel that the merger of David Berriman Estate Agents and Eaton Estates in 2006 was an extremely positive step in an ever competitive house selling market with a wider catchment area providing an increased number of properties for buyers to view and thereby giving sellers a higher exposure to buyers.

      The positive effect of the combined databases was immediately seen to be of an immeasurable value and all three offices have noticed a marked increase in the number of enquiries.

      Berriman Eaton currently has three offices which are based in Tettenhall, Bridgnorth and Wombourne. We offer specialist advice on all aspects of the Residential selling and purchasing process together with a dedicated Lettings department.

      David Berriman opened his agency in 1990 and in 1998 Nick Berriman returned from working in an estate agency in Knightsbridge, London to join David and between them they ensured that the firm was a dominant force in the local agency market. Caroline Eaton formed Eaton Estates in 1994 and developed a similarly enviable reputation. There has always been an excellent relationship between the two practices and, indeed, David actually trained Caroline in his previous firm and appointed her as a branch manager at the age of 19, surely one of the youngest estate agents in the UK ever to have held such a position. Nick and Caroline have also been friends for many years.

    One of the principal philosophies of Berriman Eaton is to provide a professional service to our clients and as such we are pleased to announce that we are members of the National Association of Estate Agents and the voluntary Ombudsman Scheme. Nick Berriman is a fellow of the NAEA, a member of ARLA and has a law degree, Caroline is a member of the NAEA, a member of ARLA and David is a fellow of the RICS.

    In order to help our clients manage one of the most important events in their lives, we have created a check list that highlights all necessary elements to check and arrange for before they can start selling their property.

    • Instruct Solicitors
    • Receive Pack from Solicitors: (Property Information Form + Fixtures and Fittings) Fill in forms and return asap
    • Sellers Solicitors will prepare Draft Contracts and send to Buyers Solicitors
    • Mortgage Valuation/Survey arranged
    • Sellers Solicitors may receive enquiries from Buyers Solicitors. May have to consult Seller for replies
    • Buyers receive Mortgage Offer
    • Transfer Deed & Contracts to be signed
    • Completion Date agreed
    • Buyers provide their Solicitors with deposit and Exchange takes place (sale becomes legally binding)
    • Advise utilities
    • Completion - Keys handed over
