    The highly motivated and vastly experienced staff at Charles Barnard Estate Agents offer you a fresh approach and superior service for your residential property needs. We only sell property, no rentals - therefore always committing 100% of our effort and resources on selling property - hopefully your property.

    We are working hard and focusing our efforts as well as our resources to ensure we are selling property not just listing them. We are proud of our proactive approach although we maintain the traditional values of a good estate agent.

    Our success so far has allowed us to expand and move forward as a business. This has been seen recently with the addition of our second office which opened in the village of Wedmore introducing our Signature Homes department. Very, very soon we will look to open another office. The plan is to open a third office in the city of Wells, Somerset. The Wells office will also offer a Signature Homes department which is a team dedicated to selling properties with a difference, be it the size, style, quality or value of the property.

    Part of our success is due to our financial commitment towards advertising and marketing, although still maintaining a NO SALE NO FEE policy. We are committed to offering the maximum exposure possible for every property no matter how big or small. We currently advertise in the Wells Journal, Cheddar Valley Gazette, Shepton Mallet Journal, Central Somerset Gazette, Somerset Life and the Somerset Guardian. We have a minimum of a double page spread in every one of these publications. We also advertise a full page every month in The Isle Of Wedmore News. In addition to this all our clients properties are present on the major property portals including a better than average presence with the market leader 'Rightmove' as well as Zoopla and Prime Location. During 2013 we also entered into long term contracts with The Country Life and the Horse & Hound magazines using their online services. We believe no other agent, in the areas we cover, can rival this and this is why we are busy selling houses and not just listing them.

    Oliver Edgecombe, Branch Manager

    Oliver came from the pensions and mortgage business and started his career in estate agency for a corporate firm where he earned his 'stripes'. There he learnt to deal with buyers and sellers and reaching the typical corporate sales targets of mortgage leads, solicitor referrals and selling the odd house!!! Now with a leading independent, Oliver states that this is real estate agency - you are allowed to get on with the job in hand of selling houses first and foremost and focusing on customer service. Starting out as a Negotiator for our firm Oliver has now progressed to manage the office in Shepton Mallet and deservedly so. With the recent expansion at Charles Barnard Estate Agents Oliver has said he has never enjoyed work so much!! Oliver is our man when it comes to photography having studied this at college. Outside of work Oliver loves his music and is an accomplished DJ and Electronic music producer as well as owning his own record label. He also enjoys his passion of skateboarding.
