Free Valuations
Before you sell you will want a valuation. This service is free and on visiting your property we will be able to advise on current market conditions and the value of your home, together with the service we offer. Our experience is such that we are able to provide an accurate valuation with examples of what we have sold in the area, thus enabling us to achieve the best possible price for you.

Progress Reports
Over many years of agency we have realised that many sellers have been unhappy about the lack of communication after instruction has been given. We at Chequers consider this an important part of the service we offer. After receiving your instructions we take considerable pride in keeping you fully imformed at all times regarding the marketing of your home. Every two weeks you will receive an update from one of our staff and after every viewing you will be informed of the viewers' comments.

We are located in Winchester Street in the upper part of town and experience a high level of enquiries on a daily basis both from potential buyers and sellers. As an Independent estate agency, we are able to offer you extremely competitive selling rates both on a sole and multiple agency. Discounts are also available should you sell and purchase your next home through Chequers.

Advertising
We endeavour to advertise your property on a regular basis until it is sold. Our coverage is via the local Gazette Property Paper on Fridays and Monday together with the Gazette Extra on Wednesday. The latter has a circulation of over 50,000 homes in the Basingstoke & surrounding area.

Colour Brochures
Our promotion of your property is often complemented by colour brochures which will enhance the marketing and set your home apart from others available for sale. Since introducing the brochures we have found them to be extremely effective particularly so to potential purchasers from outside the immediate area.

No Sale - No Fee
Naturally you are always worried about unnecessary expense. Unless we find you a suitable buyer who proceeds to completion, there is no cost to you, so it is in our interest to work as swiftly as possible to find you a suitable purchaser. Our commission is agreed before we start marketing and there are no hidden extras ie. advertising, brochures, so you will know exactly what your selling costs are going to be.

Mortgages

Your home is at risk if you do not keep up repayments on a mortgage or any other loans secured on it.

We can provide you with an induction of all the costs involved from placing your house on the market to completing and moving into your new property. This includes estate agency/legal fees, survey and administration costs.

Chaffuered Viewings
Chequers staff are available to accompany potential purchasers around your home as part of the service offered. This means you are able to leave everything to us in the knowledge that we will use our best endeavours to promote a sale.

We are open 7 days a week. Monday to Friday from 8.45am till late at night. Saturday 8.45am till 5.00pm and Sunday 10.00am till 1.00pm. An answer phone is available to our clients when the offices are unmanned, and is regularly checked.
