    About our office....
    The Haslemere office occupies a prominent and prime location at the top of the High Street, close to the museum in a large listed building with the largest floor area and window space in the town.

    Opened in 2003, the office prides itself in dealing across the market place with experienced staff able to deal with anything from apartments and small cottages to country estates, paddocks, woodland and amenity land. It has dedicated land development and new homes departments based in the office.

    Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the Surrey Hills and on the borders of Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire, the office covers an area that encompasses the whole of Haslemere (GU27) and the surrounding villages of Grayswood (GU27), Brook (GU8), Chiddingfold (GU8), Northchapel (GU28), Lodsworth (GU28), Lickfold (GU28) and Lurgashall (GU28), across to Midhurst (GU29), Fernhurst (GU27) and Kingsley Green (GU27) and up to Hindhead (GU26, GU27) and beyond to the villages towards Farnham (GU9 and GU10).

    After twenty years in estate agency, Steve Cook joined Clarke Gammon as a Partner to open the Haslemere office with Mark Steward in 2003.

    Steve has a wealth of local property knowledge and expertise having joined a local property development company straight from school; five years later he became an estate agent with a large corporate agency in Farnham. He was appointed branch manager in 1987 and later an Area and Local Director. 

    Based at the Haslemere office, Steve is head of Group Sales and specialises in the sale of the properties at the upper end of the market. He is also responsible for the company's Human Resources and ensures that reputation of Clarke Gammon is maintained through the appointment of high quality staff.

    Steve has lived in the Haslemere since 1972, and home is now on Marley Common where he has lived for 20 years with his wife and two sons. Steve is an enthusiastic golfer, has interests in all sports and enjoys supporting all things Haslemere, and is the President of Shottermill and Haslemere Football Club.

    Mark has over 30 years experience in estate agency, specialising in prestige and country homes, as well as land and planning matters.

    Mark was involved in corporate agency in the local area, opening two cold start offices in Grayshott and Haslemere. In 2003 he joined Clarke Gammon Wellers as a Partner and opened the Haslemere Office with Steve Cook. 

    Mark is based at the Haslemere office and lives in the beautiful hamlet of Milland, just to the south of Liphook with his wife, daughter and son. Outside of work his passions are motor sports and golf.

    From humble beginnings as a trainee negotiator in 1988, Paul became a Manager of one of the most profitable flagship branches of a large corporate estate agency. Paul has extensive local knowledge of the area having worked in Farnham, Fleet, Alton, Liphook and Haslemere and prides himself on his professional approach to estate agency. Keen to bring his extensive experience in property sales to an established independent firm, Paul joined Clarke Gammon Wellers in 2011; initially in Liphook, he now runs the residential sales team at the Haslemere office. 

    He is regularly recommended by both buyers and sellers for his dedication, hard work and approachable manner. 

    A resident of Haslemere for 24 years and with a young family, Paul is a keen mountain biker, runner and an accomplished golfer.

    Tanya has been a resident of Liphook for the past 13 years, along with her teenage daughter and son, both of whom are studying A Levels at nearby colleges.

    With over 35 years' experience in estate agency, much of it focussed on the marketing and sale of new homes, Mark Taylor joined Clarke Gammon Wellers in 2003 to establish a New Homes Department that delivers a comprehensive service to developers and housebuilders - large and small - in the marketing of their homes and developments; whether it's a single house or a large scheme. 

    As Director, Mark brings his wealth of experience from the development's conception to its completion addressing every aspect of the sales process.

      Haslemere is an historic market town with 14th and 15th century origins. It is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Surrey Hills where the borders of Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire meet. The area is surrounded by hills, with Blackdown at 920 feet to the south and Gibbet Hill at 894 feet to the north. Much of the heathland and woodland is owned and protected by the National Trust and has become a popular attraction especially 'The Devil's Punchbowl' at nearby Hindhead which has been given a new lease of life since the long awaited opening of the tunnel which now by passes this stunning beauty spot.

      Haslemere has long been favoured by commuters leaving London and its suburbs as couples and families seek to set up home in the countryside; to take advantage of the beautiful countryside, competitively priced property and a better quality way of life with less pollution and less stress!

      The picturesque town centre, with its beamed and tile hung buildings, offers an idyllic backdrop to a range of interesting independent shops, inns, restaurants and coffee shops, many of which offer al fresco dining. The town also boasts The Haslemere Educational Museum, one of the largest natural history museums in central Southern England.

      Excellent rail and road connections are available with direct trains to London Waterloo in 49 minutes, while the A3 which offers a direct route to London and the coast is 3 miles away.

High quality Golf Clubs in the area include Blackmoor, Hankley Common, Liphook and Old Thorns Golf and Country Club.

      Visitors to the area can stay at The Georgian House Hotel situated in the heart of the town or The Lythe Hill Hotel which can be found on the eastern outskirts; both have spas for enjoyment at any time - not just for visitors!

      There are excellent state and private schools in the area including St Edmund's and The Royal School, both situated in nearby Hindhead, while St Ives and Haslemere Prepatory Schools are situated in the town. State schools include St Bartholomew's, Shottermill and Camelsdale junior schools and Woolmer Hill Technical Academy. 

      Haslemere is a great place to live and raise a family; a fact that any local resident will tell you.
