    Durrants are celebrating 160 years in 2013 giving us an un-rivalled wealth of experience and expertise.

    Established in 1853 by George Durrant, the company has developed into a multi-discipline firm that has excellent knowledge of the local area with departments covering residential sales and lettings, agricultural, commercial, on site auctions, planning and design, building surveying, auction rooms and holiday lettings.

    We are based in five locations throughout Norfolk & Suffolk (Diss, Harleston, Halesworth, Beccles and Southwold) and at the Mayfair Office in London. Whilst evolving and taking a modern approach in all aspects of the business, the firm has maintained its traditional family values and is now in its 5th generation with Nick Durrant at the helm.

    Between the four of us, we have over 30 years worth of experience in estate agency.

    What makes us different at Durrants is that each member of staff has a key role to play in the selling of your property; key aspects of personal service which we are proud of are:

    - all members of our full time residential staff will visit your property so that we are familiar with it and can deal with any enquiries confidently and competently at any given time.

    - all of our empty properties are checked on a weekly basis where we are key holders thus providing peace of mind to our vendors.

    - a monthly report is sent to you detailing all the activity on the property, helping you stay fully informed on the marketing of your property.

    - our vendors are contacted on a fortnightly basis with updates and progress reports.

    - everybody is involved with your property and knows what is going on at all times. So, if the person you deal with is not available when you need them, don't worry, one of us is always able to help in their absence.

    Ben Stickels - Branch Manager

    Ben graduated from Bath University in 2002 with a BSc in Geography then subsequently studied, and gained, a Diploma in Real Estate Management in 2008. He joined Durrants in February 2010 and is our main valuer of residential property, specialising in country homes. He is also currently studying for his APC in order to become a Chartered Surveyor under the RICS.

    Bernadette Elvin - Assistant Residential Manager
    Bernadette joined the company in 2009. Her main role is as a Sales Negotiator in the Diss office, but she also spends 2 days a week working at the Harleston office. She has a lot of experience in many aspects of estate agency but it is the sales negotiation and sales progression that she really enjoys most.

    Fiona Charnley - Secretary
    Fiona joined Durrants in 2004 initially working in the Harleston office and subsequently moving to the Diss Office where she undertakes the administration for the Agricultural and Residential departments. She is a keen horsewoman.

    Olivia Casbard - Trainee Negotiatior
    Olivia has completed and passed the NFOPP Level 2 Award in Residential Property Management Practice. Predominantly working in residential sales she will also be helping out with the letting side of the residential department in Diss. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and swimming.
