How we can help tenants

    Finding the right property for you is an important decision that you have to make as it is something you are signed into for a minimum 6 months so it needs a considerable amount of thought. Fresh Move knows how important this is and how everybody likes to make a house their home. We specialise in matching up the right property to the right tenant from Dartmouth to Torquay to Dawlish and all in between.

    Once you have seen a property you are interested in, you can submit an enquiry online, give us a call or chat to us on our Facebook page and we will book a viewing as soon as possible for you to have a look and ask us any questions you may have.

    The application process
    once you are happy and satisfied to go ahead with your chosen property we require you to fill in a referencing form which is normally sent by email and return it to us as soon as you can so we can start the referencing process in which we will need the following:

    · Standard personal details ie name, DOB etc

    · Current address and past 3 years addresses

    · Current landlord details

    · Employment details including a name and a contact number

    · Next of kin details

    · Photo Identification

    · Bank statements (should the referencing agency need them)

    · 3 months' pay slips (should the referencing agency need them)

    Normally the referencing takes up to 4 working days. Once this has been accepted we then call you to arrange a moving date and draw up the paperwork. The moving date is normally within 4 weeks, should it be any longer we will send the legal documents to you in the post or by email and this should be signed and returned before the moving date.

    Upon check in you will complete all paperwork, if it hasn't been done already, at the property which normally takes about 1 hour to go through including all expectations and property details. Should there be no inventory, you will meet a member of the team in the office and complete all paperwork there.

    Fiona Gardner - Managing Director

    NAEA & ARLA Technical Award in Residential Letting and Property Management

    Previously a Global Marketing Director based in London, Fiona decided in 2006 to return back to the South West having founded the company shortly thereafter. With over 10 years in Tier 1, Corporate Marketing, Fiona was ready for a new challenge. A Landlord herself, she understood landlord's objectives and requirements and set about designing a company that put landlords first and challenged the negative views she found in her research.

    Fresh move, since 2006 and has grown from strength to strength with 6 dedicated staff geared to providing the best possible service.

    James has had over 25 years of industry experience previously selling IT outsourcing to Her Majesty's Government across the UK for major tier 1 companies such as Dell Computers. James has recently been appointed by his wife Fiona in early 2013 to manage the growth of the business. As a family we believed this would not only improve our quality of lives but in a joint partnership role both our backgrounds would only excel the fresh move business and its mature well qualified team. James's role focuses on operational and service excellence, marketing, business process systems, supplier relationships and the overall development of fresh move.

    Penny has over 14 years extensive knowledge and experience in Residential Lettings across Torbay and Teignbridge. Previous roles held have included Office Management responsibilities across two offices from a leading competitor and also working as a Property Portfolio Manager looking after in excess of 350 properties, Penny has recently joined fresh move to seek a new challenge with a company that has a fresh approach in lettings and management. Penny's role now includes new and existing landlord engagement / development, marketing and advertising, legal responsibilities, keeping you up-to-date with new legislation and supporting the local team in day to day activities.
