    Having started in the Clapham office where she spent 7 years and was Assistant Manager, she moved to the Dulwich office before taking some time out to have her second child. A Dulwich resident for over 10 years, she returned to the Dulwich office four years ago and took over as Manager at the beginning of 2014.

    Jessica has worked in the industry for a number of years having started in estate agency in Norwich; she moved to London to further her career and joined Hamptons in May 2015.       It's a well-worn cliché that selling your house and buying another one is right up there in the league table of stressful undertakings. But it's become a cliché because it's true. All that uncertainty. All that anxiety. All that angst about whether or not you'll get your asking price, where you'll go and how much it will cost. Never mind about your house though, the whole enterprise is a house of cards that can collapse in an instant. We thought we'd sold our house in September 2015 but it turned out that the House-selling Gods had other ideas and we actually ended up completing in July 2016. Throughout that marriage-threateningly tense and difficult nine-month period Mel and the team at Hamptons Dulwich office provided us with an outstanding level of professionalism, efficiency and support. They remained unrelentingly calm and charming in the face of pressure (some of it completely unreasonable) from all sides and were always available with updates, information, or just good old reassurance, as the situation morphed from one level of surreal unpredictability into another. They quietly went about their business, advising here, cajoling there, eventually producing a result that has been great for all. It's another cliché that estate agents are right up there in the league table of derided professions but in our experience Hamptons easily outperformed all of the other institutions involved in the house buying and selling process, all of whom (banks, building societies, service and utility providers) generally appear to enjoy higher levels of approval. So maybe it's advisable to ignore the clichés and take these things as you find them. I'm more than happy that we found Hamptons and we found them to be great people who do a great job. The team at Hamptons Dulwich provided us with an outstanding level of efficiency and professionalism. This they accomplished with unrelenting charm and patience in the face of what proved to be a challenging sale and purchase process. If you think you can find a better estate agent...you're wrong.
