    Our Area
    • Paragraph

Kingston upon Thames - often referred to simply as Kingston - is a town on the River Thames. It lies southwest of central London and forms a part of the Greater London area. Kingston has a wealth of local amenities and a thriving local economy. That said, a lot of the residents in Kingston tend to commute to central London for work.

Kingston is renowned for its excellent schools and this is a large factor which draws many families to the area. Within a couple of miles radius there are many sought-after state and private schools that have variable catchment areas around the area. It also has a great hospital, transport infrastructure and shopping centre. Kingston has strong transport links boasting short commute times to London: just another of the many reasons why it's so popular with commuters.

In Kingston you'll find plenty to do and see as you'd expect with any town so close to central London. It plays host to a theatre, a library and also a Crown Court. It's not just a part of Greater London: a smaller sibling of the larger London area, it's a fantastic place to reside in its own right.

Kingston has a reputation for being trendy and current - there are lots of local pubs and clubs for residents to enjoy. Kingston is also home to a number of popular, exclusive restaurants - there are also plenty of cafes and a lot of shops lining the high street. Whether it's food, drink or shopping you seek, you'll find exactly what you're looking for in Kingston upon Thames!

Surbiton is a suburban area of southwest London within the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. It is situated next to the River Thames, 11 miles southwest of central London. Surbiton was formerly within the County of Surrey, but became part of Greater London in 1965 following the London Government Act 1963, together with many areas including neighbouring Kingston and Richmond. Surbiton possesses a mixture of Art-Deco courts, more recent residential blocks and grand 19th century townhouses blending into a sea of semi-detached 20th century housing estates.

The market in Surbiton is very diverse, from large detached houses in the Southborough estate to modern townhouse developments. The main factor for the recent growth in Surbiton's popularity is that it has been a hidden gem with few people knowing about its excellent train service, the secret is now out and it's the commuters' favourite. In recent years the farmers' market on Maple Road has gone from strength to strength. With new bars opening, Michelin stared restaurants Surbiton is becoming an ever more popular destination.

    Testimonials from Sellers

    • Seller Testimonial

      A first class Estate Agency
Hamptons were recommended to us and very good advice it proved to be. We were reassured from the outset that our business would be handled with care, straightforwardness and efficiency. In summary, a first class Estate Agency.
    • Seller Testimonial

      I have not been disappointed
Selling property is easy, doing it right is harder. Hamptons Kingston got me under offer in less than a week, kept me abreast at all times without me having to pester them. This is the third time I have used this branch for buying and selling and I have not been disappointed yet, nor do I expect to be.
    • Seller Testimonial

      Extremely helpful with good recommendations
Throughout the process, your office has been extremely helpful with good recommendations on marketing and honing the offers received, to achieve the right balance of best price that was most deliverable. The reporting procedure was prompt and whether good or bad news Hamptons were quick to advise and then action the agreed direction.
    • Seller Testimonial

      A pleasure to deal with
The service offered by Hamptons has been excellent from the outset from the initial valuation through to arranging viewings and advising us on which offer to accept. We primarily dealt with Peter Knowles, he knows the market very well and was able to advise us on the negotiations for both our sale and purchase and went so far as dealing with the agents on the other side which was extremely helpful. His calm, professional manner has made him a pleasure to deal with and we would have no hesitation in recommending him and his team.
    • Seller Testimonial

We would recommend Hamptons without reservation
From our very first meeting, Hamptons provided a professional and comprehensive service including reliable and up to date knowledge of the local market. We would recommend Hamptons without reservation.
    • Seller Testimonial

      Efficient and reassuring
I was most impressed by how Hamptons International Kingston handled the sale of my property. They were efficient, reassuring and communicated with me on a regular basis every step of the way through the sale. Selling a property whilst resident in Australia, could have been fraught with problems, however, in the hands of John Prodromou, who was the Sales Negotiator for the sale, it became relatively stress free. I highly recommend not only him but the whole team at the Kingston branch.
    • Seller Testimonial

      Great communication
Hamptons International Kingston sold both of my properties in Worcester Park. They were joint agents with another more local agent, and were able to secure high quality buyers in less than 2 weeks for each property. Great communication, with the sales being handled very professionally. Great work!
