Over the past ten years Westminster has firmly established itself as a prime residential area with increasing numbers of International buyers acquiring homes for investment or to live in. A winning combination of historic buildings such as The Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace combined with St. James's Park and The Tate Britain art gallery provide the backdrop of a truly unique living experience with plenty to do and see.

Pimlico was laid out by master builder Thomas Cubitt and has a distinctive Victorian character. Quiet residential Victorian terraces dominate the area giving it a tranquil village like atmosphere. Amongst the conformity it offers a wide selection of converted period apartments of all shapes and sizes to grand freehold Victorian houses.

Both areas offer a wide selection of shops and restaurants, primarily along Warwick Way and Victoria street, which also boasts Cardinal Place shopping centre. The transport links are superb. Victoria mainline station has a direct train link to Gatwick airport and provides underground connections for The Circle, District and Victoria tube lines. Further underground stations include St. James's Park, Pimlico and Westminster (Jubilee line to Canary Wharf financial centre).

Pimlico is one of London's more desirable areas, it plays host to a raft of fine Victorian architecture. Found to the south of Belgravia, the area forms a part of the City of Westminster - a quick walk around the district won't fail to impress, the large rows of uniform properties are quite spectacular.

Pimlico is home to a famous block of apartments at Dolphin Square, where a lot of the members of parliament tend to reside during their time in London. Another notable estate in Pimlico is Churchill Gardens - a notable recipient of district heating, somewhat uncommon in the UK.

Pimlico is blessed with fantastic transport links to other areas of the City of Westminster and London in general. It is well served by the London Underground service, as well as buses and taxis. Getting from A to B is really easy in Pimlico - it's the perfect place to settle down if you work in central London. Transport links outside of the UK are also strong with trains running to continental Europe, and also strong air links via London's major airports at Gatwick and Heathrow.

Property in Pimlico is in high demand with people from the UK, Europe and the rest of the world. London is only growing in popularity with people from all corners of the world - which means that property in Pimlico doesn't usually remain available for long!

    Testimonials from Buyers

    • Buyer Testimonial

      exemplary service we received
I am writing to you regarding our recent purchase and would like to draw to your attention the exemplary service we received from the Pimlico office, and specifically from Mr James Dunn. We reside in the U.S. which slightly complicated our efforts to purchase. However, given James' excellent direction, and knowledge of the market, we found that all of our buying trips were perfectly organized and tailored to suit our needs. We worked with James for just over a year, during that time, we made several trips, and received a series of valuable updates, which resulted in the eventual purchase of our chosen flat, at asking price, on the same day it went onto the market - without the need for us to actually fly to London. Negotiations were slightly complicated, given that the owner was unwell. James' approach to the situation, was one of care, authenticity and professionalism. The negotiations were successful, particularly as both parties were ultimately satisfied with the outcome. As I write, (from the states) James has walked through the apartment and checked everything is in good order and has kindly informed us regarding other practicalities. We are looking forward to moving in! We would like to express our heartfelt thanks for superb assistance.
