6 steps to selling with Hearnes estate agents

Step 1 - An accurate market appraisal

How much is your home worth? It's vital to get an accurate valuation so the best possible price is achieved. There is no estate agency better qualified than Hearnes to provide precisely the necessary information due to our unmatched knowledge of the local property market.

Step 2 - Marketing your home

Naturally, we use all available means to make sure your home reaches the largest possible number of potential buyers from local property publications, through the leading home sale websites, to national press. Once we've started marketing, our state-of-the-art technology goes to work matching suitable buyers to your home. But at Hearnes we're great believers in the human touch, so we'll carefully register and check all applicants, to ensure that they are serious potential buyers who won't waste your time.

Step - 3 viewings

Taking care to match the right people to the right property makes it much more likely that a viewing will lead to a sale. I addition to this our enthusiastic and incredibly hard working people know exactly how to show off your home to its best advantage, At Hearnes it really is all about you - and we'll stop at nothing to do the best possible job on your behalf

Step 4 - agreeing a sale

When we receive an offer for your home, we'll liaise between you and the potential buyer until a price is agreed advising you at all times to the best course of action. Our staff are all trained to verify buyers funding and if appropriate the chain supporting their offer. This avoids sales falling through at a later stage in many cases

.Step 5 - Instructing solicitors

Once a sale is agreed we will need to involve solicitors. Hearnes have working relationships with several firms locally if you need any guidance at this stage. It is very important that a sale is placed in solicitors hand promptly so as not to delay proceedings.

Step 6 Moving day

Completion day can be a little frantic to where possible Hearnes will collect the keys from you and deliver them once you have completed to the new owner.

Anthony Holtom - Managing Director/Owner

Anthony started agency at Elliott and Green estate agents in New Milton during college in 1986 as a work experience candidate. Anthony continued to build his career in estate agency working in eight towns and villages across Hampshire and Dorset, quickly progressing to manager of a flagship branch within a corporate estate agency branch in Ringwood. In 2010 Anthony became Shareholder and Director of Hearnes in Ringwood with an established team maintaining a market leading position where they have been able to offer a more personalised service with tailored marketing to suit each property's and customer's needs. The business was expanded further with the opening of a Bournemouth town centre office in July 2013. Anthony is a keen golfer, his home club being Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club; where he enjoys playing with his son Samuel, and father Edwin. When Anthony isn't at work or on the golf course, you'll spot him around Ringwood with his wife Jennifer and daughters Gracie and Gretty.

Sam Holtom - Branch Manager

Sam having grown up around estate agency and gaining experience during the past five years has now joined his father Anthony Holtom in the Ringwood Office. Sam lives in the New Forest and enjoys a variety of outdoor pursuits including playing golf at Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club, football and tennis. Sam appreciates the area he lives in with the south coast beaches being easily accessible.

Gemma Rees - New Business Manager

Gemma has worked in the industry for almost 20 years, having worked in Ringwood for over 10 years and then in Lyndhurst, dealing with a variety of homes across the New Forest. She has an excellent knowledge of the area and is able to offer informed advice to any potential seller or purchaser. Living in the New Forest Gemma enjoys keeping and rearing New Forest and Shetland ponies and regularly attends local shows with her husband and two children.

Jayson Priday - Branch Associate

Jayson is well known in the area as one of the most experienced and professional Estate Agents and has the benefit of some 30 years of experience in the industry. Having lived in the area since 1979, he has an in- depth knowledge of the property market and has worked in Bournemouth Town Centre, Winton, Moordown, Parkstone, not to mention Ringwood. For the past 20 years he has worked in the Ringwood/Ferndown and Bournemouth conurbation for a successful family firm where he has spent many years at manager level and has been responsible for the majority of Market Appraisals. He prides himself on his attention to detail, and has vast experience in marketing properties. He is a skilled photographer and understands the importance of first class customer service and presentation.

Jennifer's Sales & Leadership background is predominantly from the corporate Banking Sector. Using her transferable skills in agency since 2018 to grow and develop independent Estate Agents & local businesses. At Hearnes, Jennifer is the smile behind the camera, creating Dolls House 3D interactive tours, mini videos, and floor plans, along with managing Social Media & Marketing. Our clients can look forward to Jennifer's warm style of Agency, where her commitment to people and passion for property really stands out. Jennifer is well known in Ringwood for being married to Managing Director Anthony and Mother to Gracie & Gretty, a committed member to her CrossFit and HYROX community, who enjoys photography, national trust days out and fair-weather rides on her motor bike.

Pleasure dealing with Hearnes

Mr and Mrs A 22.09.17 My wife and I have recently purchased the said property above, using Hearnes and thought to send you all a little feedback on our experience. This was our first purchased property and so, the entire experience was slightly daunting especially taking into account the sudden and unexpected loss of my wife's mother early in the year, which brings with it, its own stresses. From the outset, we viewed several properties in the St Ives area and our dealings were with Colin Cattermole. On various occasions, my wife would have met Colin without me due to my work commitments and each time she would come back to me with positive feedback about her dealings with Colin. I myself subsequently and separately met with Colin, to again view the same properties. Nothing was too much trouble for him, we were always greeted with a smile, he was always welcoming, approachable and especially sensitive when dealing with my wife regarding the passing of her mother. Once we viewed H Rd and decided it was the property we wanted, the help and advice given to us by Colin was commendable. The process itself, due to the amount of queries raised by my wife and I through our solicitors, was tough and extensive, it seemed to go on and on but all the way through, Colin was available to answer questions, to reassure us he was there if we needed anything and to try and push for answers from opposing solicitors to help speed the process up, as even we were getting quite frustrated by this point. Nevertheless, at no time, throughout all our meetings, telephone calls or emails, did Colin's attitude or drive to get us into our new home ever change. He is an extremely professional individual, with great business sense, passion and drive to succeed but the two things that set him aside from all the other estate agents we dealt with, including those that sold our property in Bournemouth, was his sincerity and his honesty. Working in an industry that, to my mind, can see individuals heavily criticised by association, Colin epitomises, for us at least, what all in real estate should aspire to. His honest, genuine and down to earth nature will ensure that any of our future property requirements, or indeed those of friends and colleagues, will see the first call or visit being made to Colin, every time. The traits he possesses are very rare in people nowadays but highly sought. Just to finish, I would just like to say what a pleasure it has been dealing with Hearnes and especially Colin.
