Clapham Junction Station set in the heart of Battersea is one of Europeís busiest railway stations and is the busiest in the UK for interchanges between services. With services into London Waterloo and London Victoria, as well as hundreds of destinations around the South and South West of England it is no wonder that the area is a popular place to live.
The majority of the housing stock was built in the Victorian era many of which have been converted into flats suitable for first time buyers and investors. Soon to be home to the new US Embassy which has increased its standing internationally, the area attracts many young families including an increasing number from France.
There are a number of high profile buildings, most notably the Giles Gilbert Scott built, Grade 2 listed, Battersea Power Station with itís iconic four chimneys and being the largest brick built building in Europe.
Over the last quarter of a century the whole area has been subject to a period of regeneration and there is now a huge selection of pubs, bars and restaurants of every description.
