      Established as Michael Kalmar & Company in 1967 by Michael Kalmar FRICS, ISVA. Since then KALMARs have continuously dealt with all aspects of commercial property experiencing both good and bad market conditions over the years. Initially trading from The City, then the centre of commercial agency, KALMARs moved to Knightsbridge for some years, but having great belief in the City Fringe, Docklands and South London area, moved to Jamaica Wharf by Tower Bridge in 1986 becoming one of the leading South London estate agents.

      Richard Kalmar - Managing Director
      Joining his father at KALMARs in 1977, Richard has worked continuously on commercial agency ever since. He now focusing on development work, particularly of residential sites. He is chairman of Southwark Chamber of Commerce for the 6th year; organises SLICA (South London Industrial and Commercial Agents); is an advisor to the Southbank University business panel. He has been and continues to be active in local affairs. He is a long-term member of both the Industrial Agents, and the Office Societies as well as being a member of the Residential agents development society. He is a Freeman of the City of London and Honorary Member of the Chartered Surveyors Livery Company. He is married with three grown children, his second son being in the business. His interests include gardening, cooking, wine, speaking French, traveling, reading, music, mycology, windsurfing, swimming, canoeing, cycling, and occasionally he watches a bit of telly.

      Donald qualified in Estate Management and after working in North London specialising in Property Management, joined KALMARs in April 1999, where he initially specialized in Office Agency and then moved into Development Agency.

      Adrian Gurney BSC - Director
      Adrian is the Director of the Office Agency department and highly experienced member of the team with in-depth market knowledge of the area. Under his management the office department has achieved the Co-star award for the highest number of disposals and instructions for the past 5 years on the Southbank. Adrian's hobbies and interests include sailing, tennis, golf and climbing.

      Sebastian Kalmar FNAEA BSC - Residential Director
      Sebastian joined KALMARs in 2008 as an assistant to the residential team while reading Estate Management at Greenwich University which is where he obtained his degree BSc (Hons). He is the third generation of the family working in the company resulting in a rich history of property and a wealth of connections in the industry. Previously his career entailed working in various sales roles, as a commercial analyst and also trading alternative investments working as a sales executive and broker. With just under ten years' experience in property Sebastian is now Director of KALMARs Residential and a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents (FNAEA). He has always lived in South East London and has conducted all his studies here too providing him with exceptional relationships and a great understanding of the dynamics, changes and history across the area.

      Mickola Wilson FRICS - Non executive Director
      Mickola worked for Guardian Royal Exchange for over 20 years, as a property fund and development manager, for the last 5 years she was MD of the Property Fund Management division with circa £1bn funds under management and responsibility for the Group occupied estate. In 2000 Mickola joined MWB as head of the Fund Management division with £600m funds under management focused on the leisure and retail sectors. In 2002, Mickola joined Teesland plc as CEO to a newly formed property fund management company listed on the London stock exchange, with a cap value of circa £20m and £250m of funds under management, during the following 5 years the company grew to a cap value of the order of £200m, with over £4bn of funds under management across UK, Western and Central Europe. The funds are serviced by local offices in 9 countries with over 250 staff within the group. KALMARs are very fortunate to have Mickola as a non-executive director with all the experience and contacts she brings.

      Anthony Tappy-Day MRICS - Head of Retail
      Anthony holds a degree in Estate Management from the University of Reading and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He is an experienced commercial agent and has also been heavily involved in asset management and has advised clients on complex Landlord and Tenant matters. When away from the office Anthony's interests include sport, music, gastronomy, and is a Crystal Place season ticket holder.

      Luke Osborne BSC - Head of Strategic Land
      Luke graduated from the University of Kent in 2009 with a 1st Class Honors in Economics and Econometrics notably completing a summer internship for Shell which kick started his professional career. With a strong interest in all things property, Luke has previously worked in office agency and is now venturing into the Industrial market to broaden his experience and skillset. His intention is to complete an estate management course and pass his APC within 2-3 years. Outside of work, Luke enjoys socialising, most sports, travelling and is currently studying towards his Private Pilot License.

      Joel Dela Cruz - MSC
      Joel joined the team in 2013 bringing with him enthusiasm and energy complementing the experience to the KALMARs team. He has started in both the residential and commercial teams but is now focussing his efforts on our Office Department. Having graduated with a Masters in Commercial Property at the University of Sheffield following on from being awarded a BSc in Estate Management in 2012 from Greenwich University. Currently doing his accreditation to become a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveying, he is fully up to date with all modern valuation and surveying practices. Outside of the office Joel enjoys competitive gaming, air soft, snowboarding, music and film production.

      Greg Giessen BSC - Retail Consultant
      After graduating from the University of Edinburgh in 2012, Greg is now completing a MSc in Real Estate at the University of Reading. Currently working in the Retail and Decentralized Office team, his knowledge of South London and interest in property have helped him develop into an experienced commercial consultant. When not in the office Greg enjoys playing football, traveling and cooking.

      Joining KALMARs central office team in 2015, Laura's is one of our practising commercial surveyors and is an experienced commercial agent. Alongside her consultancy work, Laura is adept in handling a broad range of professional property matters including lease renewal, rent review and valuation. After being awarded with an RICS accredited MSc degree from the University of Manchester, Laura is currently enrolled on the RICS' prestigious Commercial APC Pathway and is soon to become a fully-fledged member of The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
