    Established in 1990 by the late Keith Sampford and Ian Robertson, our first office was in High Street, Cheshunt. There we quickly established ourselves as the market leader. Soon after, we obtained offices in Ware and Buntingford. Keith Ian has gone from strength to strength, helping clients buy and sell homes along the A10 corridor.

    Located in our iconic High Street office of The Old Town Hall, we are market experts here in Ware and surrounding villages.
    Expertly coordinated by branch manager Jordan Falco, and ably assisted by our hardworking, knowledgeable sales negotiators; Luke Bird & Max Robertson.

    Ware: A Brief History

    Ware is a busy town centre offering many independent shops, high street retailers, pubs and restaurants plus it has its own museum plus Scotts Grotto which is the largest in the UK and Grade I listed.

    The mainline station serves London Liverpool Street and there are excellent road links. Ware is surrounded by beautiful countryside and benefits from the River Lee running through the centre of the town providing excellent walking and cycling paths.
    Ware has been occupied since c.4000BC and had a large Roman settlement, Ware was mentioned in the Doomsday book of 1086 known then as Waras due to its many natural weirs along with the River Lee. Ware was an important coaching stop on the Old North Road, Inns were established along the High Street.
    The Great Bed of Ware, cited by Shakespeare and other playwrights, was housed in a succession of Ware inns. In the 17th century, the New River was constructed to take freshwater into London. By the end of the 19th century, the malt making industry was joined by two others being a bottling plant belonging to the Wickham family which later turned into an engineering firm making railcars and Allen & Hanbury's pharmaceuticals which later merged with GSK.

    Ian Robertson - Managing Director
    My journey into estate agency started way back in the early 1980s after I completed a City and Guilds qualification in carpentry and joinery. I started as a weekend worker for Keith Sampford and Steve Williams (at that time running as a company called Keith Steven). Throughout the 1980s, the company grew considerably and I became branch manager of the Ware office. In the late 80s the company was sold and, for a brief spell, I became area manager for a corporate group with estate agents. Disillusioned by the corporate style of running estate agency, I approached Keith Sampford where he and I agreed to set up anew. In 1990, Keith Ian was formed. Our first office was in High Street, Cheshunt and we quickly established ourselves as a market leader in that town. Shortly after, we obtained premises in Ware, and subsequently Buntingford. The company grows from strength to strength and we have successfully been selling houses along the "A10 Corridor" since. Sadly, in 2003 we lost Keith to ill health. Keith's ethos of customer service has remained with the company and is a core value of our brand. We have experienced a rollercoaster of market places over the years, from slumps and then booms in the market. Over the years, I have seen fluctuating mortgage interest rate percentages, as high as the mid teens right through to the current rates, of which are below 2%. I remain passionate, motivated and continue striving to provide levels of service rarely experienced within our industry.

    Jordan Falco - Branch Manager
    My passion and enthusiasm is driven by the people that I meet on a day to day basis. Every client is a new story, a fresh relationship and an opportunity to guide each individual towards achieving their life goal; be that finding their perfect family home or selling a property to begin their next journey. My experience in estate agency began in 2005 at a small independent company in Hertfordshire as a Trainee Negotiator. The next 9 years were spent climbing the management ladder to reach my goal as Branch Manager which I have thoroughly enjoyed since. I joined Keith Ian in April 2020 and over the past couple of months we have gone from strength to strength through what is a very interesting market.

    I have been with Keith Ian since 2006 and in my time have worked across all 3 branches and in both the lettings and sales departments. I pride myself on the customer service that I offer as no 2 clients are the same. I have lived in the local area my whole life so have great knowledge of all our branch home towns of Buntingford, Cheshunt and Ware. Over my time in the industry I have worked in many different market situations so have great experience in selling houses in all types of market conditions.
