History

For over 200 years Bognor has been a famous seaside resort for its clean sandy beaches, safe bathing waters and invigorating sea air, which over the years have attracted millions of visitors. Not only has the town long proved popular with day trippers, but also has a endearing relationship with Royalty. The “dear little Bognor “ which Queen Victoria fondly remembered later became Bognor Regis after the successful convalescence of King George V in 1929. Bognor Regis has something to offer everyone, beaches a variety of shops and local entertainment, holiday centre for many visiting. To the south west of Aldwick is an area known as Pagham Harbour Nature Reserve which is a picturesque and important ornithological site visited by many every year.

Locally there is a number of restaurants, hotels and public houses, but with Chichester being no more than a 10 minute drive from Aldwick many choose to eat in that area.

Throughout the year there are many events held in the Bognor Area that attract people from local areas and much further afield.
