Smart, contemporary offices in prominent locations give both buyer and seller confidence that we are on hand and available. We have highly visual back lit window displays designed to attract enquiries and interest from both serious buyer and casual browser.

    Mark Leese
    Having worked as an estate agent in Clifton since 1996 Mark set up Leese & Nagle with Robert Nagle in 2004. Mark continues to work full time as an estate agent conducting viewings and valuations for our clients. With a straight forward realistic approach and proven track record at progressing difficult transactions through to completion. 
    Mark lives in Henleaze with his family and spends his spare time rowing traditional Cornish Pilot Gigs in Bristol harbour and at regattas around the south west coast. Mark is a former president of the Bristol Property Agents Association.

      The comments below have been taken from an independent review website or notes of thanks we receive from both sellers and buyers. We update them from time to time.

      We strive to provide a professional, knowledgeable, personal and friendly service to our clients (the sellers) and our buyers (our prospective future clients). Some sales go through with no associated problems and the process is straightforward for seller and buyer.

      Not every sale progresses this way however and we occasionally have to have challenging conversations with both seller and buyer to establish a way forwards. If both parties are reasonable in their approach then we can usually find a mutually acceptable route forwards. Our many years of experience and diplomacy can often be the difference between a successful conclusion and a fallen sale. Not all agents have this experience or skill set in their armoury.

      Some sales do fall through despite the effort put in by the agent. It is not uncommon to see the frustration of the sale falling through directed at the agent who is ultimately not one of the two parties who make the decisions.

      I have previously sold 2 Bristol properties via Leese and Nagle receiving excellent service and results. I'd moved outside of the immediate branch area by a couple of miles in the city, but spoke to Mark Leese and a couple of other Bristol agents some 18 months before selling my latest property. I found other agents pushy and lightweight. I was impressed by Mark's lack of flannel, clarity, honest opinion and acceptance of my timing.18 months later, I decided to sell and asked Mark to review and update the earlier meeting. The house was on the market two weeks later supported by excellent materials. It sold very quickly with an agreed long exchange/completion period. Not all was plain sailing. There were some deficiencies with the house and Mark Leese was helpful in the extreme to navigate the way between myself and the purchasers and also able to put us in touch with good tradespeople whom the purchasers and I could agree on using to rectify the deficiencies. His objectively and calm-ness kept things on track - both myself and the purchasers definitely had our moments - but he helped us steer to successful completion.Contact during selling was something I appreciated. Emails were responded to promptly and honestly. If they could not be, I was told the actions necessary and when I'd hear back. These promises were fulfilled. Phone calls were returned.       Having recently advised family members re their prospective house sales/purchases I went to this site as a reference point. In the process I was reminded to put a short review on here with regards to our own recent experience with regards to Leese & Nagle in Bristol which was wholly positive. As a prospective purchaser our very first viewing in Bristol was with Mark Leese who impressed us with his professional , but not 'too 'pushy' and therefore off putting, approach. Thereafter for all our following L & N viewings we were in the capable hands of Jayne Payne. I say capable because of all the Estate Agents representatives we subsequently dealt with in our house buying hunt and eventual purchase, Jayne was the only one who demonstrated quite clearly that she had listened to what we said we wanted/ didn't waste our time with superfluous viewings / and gave us appropriate feedback in the decision making phase. Once we'd agreed the sale price, Jane was on hand throughout a necessarily delayed completion phase to ensure that we were appropriately informed/ updated.
