Stephen J Frost FARLA, Director. Stephen is a very experienced Estate Agent and a Fellow of ARLA (The Association of Residential Lettings Agents). He has 15 + years in the local Property Market, starting as a Trainee Sales Negotiator for a Corporate Agency, working his way up through the ranks and has spent his entire working career in the Customer Service Industry. Born in Chelmsford, Stephen is married with 4 Children. In his spare time Stephen runs a local Cub Scout Pack is involved in his Local Church and enjoys most sports, mainly from the armchair!

Charlotte Frost, Director. Charlotte is Stephen's wife and works behind the scenes with admin and telephone support to the office when needed. Prior to joing Stephen in the family business Charlotte worked for a Local solicitors since leaving school. Charlotte is currently on maternity leave having just given birth to their 3rd Child Freya. Hobbies include walking and spending time with her family, which is important to her.

Emma Aldworth MARLA, Business Development Manager. Emma joined the team in 2012 and is highly motivated and enjoys taking on new properties and then letting them quickly. Emma has spent many years in the lettings industry working for independent agents and is well respected locally. She comments, “Martin & Co are well known in Chelmsford as being a dynamic, award winning, player in the lettings industry and when I got the opportunity to join them, I jumped at the chance. I am looking forward to working with new clients." Director Stephen Frost said "whilst restrictive covenants are in place regarding Emma's previous employment contract this does not preclude her from having coffee with old friends at our Chelmsford Office."

Sales & Lettings Negotiator
Laura Cranfield, Property Manager. Laura joined the team in 2011, having recently returned from Maternity Leave. The role is crucial to looking after our managed properties and the needs of the Landlords and Tenants. Previous roles have included Branch Manager, Accounts Manager and Property Manager for a nationwide letting agency, working for Stephen previously. Laura has passed the ARLA level 1 competency test and hope to continue with her studies in the near future. In her spare time Laura enjoys spending time with her family and walking her dog.

Live and rent in Chelmsford
Chelmsford is a pleasant town whose council takes pride in its appearance, it was recently voted the fourth safest place to live in the UK. The borough has a population of just over 157,000 and is the focus for government, business, retail, leisure and culture in Essex. It has two of the best Grammar Schools in the country; KEGS Boys and Chelmsford High School for Girls. The catchment areas for these are Beaulieu Park, Chancellor Park, Chelmer Village so naturally we have a lot of families who want to be placed here.

There is a good choice of major employers in the area such as Essex County Council, BAE Systems, Britvic and the 118 Group so we have a lot of professionals and start up families looking to rent somewhere close to work. Chelmsford is just 34 Miles to London with direct access via the A12. Lots of tenants choose to commute to London to take advantage of the higher wages the city demands.

We are short of all types of property especially 1 bedroom flats and 2 & 3 bedroom houses. We have a mixed range of landlords from individuals to professional landlords with a portfolio of 20+ properties.
