Mayhew Estates, Horley

I currently live in Australia and was dreading the task of arranging a house sale from the other side of the world which also involved a tenant leaving. I was recommended Mayhew's by a close friend of ours who recently sold a property through you. I called Darren at your Horley branch and spoke to him at length regarding the situation with our tenant, my concerns surrounding her co-operation and our lack of finances if the property was left empty without a buyer. I was expecting to have to wait until the tenant vacated to get the property marketed properly and therefore cause me more financial strain. To cut a long story short, from that moment onwards Darren and Ben at your Horley branch took over. Darren valued the house, visited the tenant to explain to her the procedure and our expectations regarding viewings and vacating the property, I had continual communication from both of them and the property was sold within six working days for over the asking price. I received guidance regarding which buyer would best suit us and achieved better than we could have imagined for the property. At times during the sale it appeared the buyer may have been having doubts and due to financial commitments we had made in Australia on the back of the property things became quite stressful for me and my wife. Again the communication with both Darren and Ben was excellent, this is the most frustrating thing when you are so far away and therefore regular updates are so important to us. My family and I travelled back to the UK for three nights at the critical stage of the sale. I was contacted regularly by Darren and Ben and kept completely in the picture. Darren even took the time to call me at 9pm on a Saturday evening in his own time to discuss the issues we were having. We have now successfully sold our property. I would like to thank Darren and Ben for their work and to tell you that I could not have been happier with the service I have been provided. Selling a property is difficult at the best of times, however doing it from Australia is even worse. Both Darren and Ben are an asset to you and a credit to your company. I can honestly say they both went above and beyond what I expected. Even though we have now sold our property in the area I would not hesitate to highly recommend Mayhews to our many friends and relatives that still live nearby.
