Meet & Greet Service
  • paragraph

    Exclusive to Moores
    image cannot be displayed
Our Meet and Greet service, linked to our partners in London, has us taking buyers directly to properties. Gone are the days of simply giving people details and meeting them at the property - our personal service commitment means that we go the extra mile.

Often meeting buyers at local train stations or our new meeting place on the A1, we then take them to see properties both fully on the market or as discreet listings. For people less familiar with our area, of which we have plenty, this service lets us show them exactly what the area has to offer. It's also very interesting just how much you learn about a buyer's requirements when you're sitting in the car with them for an hour or two!

We can also take your property to prospective buyers... which isn't as far-fetched as it may initially sound. Our series of Property Road Shows run throughout the year and allow us to facilitate those initial conversations with many interested parties all in one go.

    Discreet Listings
    image cannot be displayed

Our discreet marketing service has become very popular and is an excellent way of assessing what buyers may be willing to pay and the level of interest you may receive without entering into lengthy contracts or paying upfront marketing costs. We often describe our discreet marketing as being a "litmus test" of the market and no vendor is ever obliged to commit to the interest that it may generate.

However, what we do find is that when a vendor is confident that they can sell at the level they wish, they instruct us to search for their perfect onward purchase; all of which can be done with the utmost discretion. With discreet marketing, we also often find that buyers are willing to bid strongly to prevent a property from even reaching the open market.

Putting our vendors in a win/win situation.

To have your home seen by these buyers we only need a front photograph and a floor plan - full market instructions are NOT required.

    Stamford Villages & Glenside
Stamford is considered the "finest stone town in England" with its prosperity drawn from the wool trade and its historical position as a mail coach interchange on the Great North Road - almost halfway between London and York.

It is idyllic enough to have formed the backdrop for television costume dramas such as Middlemarch and the 2005 film Pride & Prejudice. It is regularly a finalist in The Sunday Times best place to live in Britain survey, winning the title in 2013.The high street bustles with a range of delightful independent shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes and with its central location, continues to provide great access to the A1, A47 and mainline train links attracting those still looking to maintain close links with London.

As a number of Stamford villages have started to fetch a premium over the years, Glenside villages such as Castle Bytham and Little Bytham have increased in popularity with their residents supporting everything from their community run shops to public houses.

Uppingham town bene¿ts from a renowned public school and a highly regarded state school. At its heart is The Market Square which whilst a permanent home to the likes of The Falcon Hotel, once a year also hosts Uppingham's Fatstock Show - the only cattle show and sale still held in the market square of a town.Uppingham is a welcoming and vibrant town with a unique selection of independent shops, restaurants and cafes whilst the Welland Valley offers stunning countryside and attractions such as the Eyebrook Reservoir, Rockingham Castle and the Harringworth Viaduct.

    Oakham & Rutland Water villages.
Rutland is England's smallest and arguably prettiest county, and certainly lives up to its motto, Multum in Parvo (much in little)! At Rutland's heart is Oakham where our Head Of¿ce is based and where we are the market leaders in the town and surrounding Rutland Water villages. Oakham is home to a renowned public school offering both day and boarding options as well as a popular state secondary school. Its central location provides great access to the A1, A47, local cities, East Midlands airport and mainline train links.

Rutland Water is one of the largest artificial lakes in Europe and the park, which covers 4,200 acres of open countryside offers everything from walking and cycling to fishing and water sports and of course birdwatching as home to the Rutland Osprey Project.

Melton Villages & The Wreake Valley
It seems we're not the only ones who think that Melton Mowbray and the surrounding villages are a fantastic place to live. In 2020 the Times placed Melton in the top 10 places to live in the UK.

Melton Mowbray is a busy market town also known as the 'Rural Capital of food and is traditionally famous for its Pork pies and Stilton Cheese. Additionally, it offers an array of restaurants, quirky local independent shops, and unique events such as food festivals and our famous cattle market. As well as the busy town activities, Melton Mowbray has some notable historic buildings such as the impressive 12th-century Church of St.Mary. Once described as 'one of the finest parish churches in Leicestershire', it features a 100ft spire rising over the town.

As a leading Estate and Letting Agent in and around Melton Mowbray, we find that Melton is extremely popular with anyone seeking good access to major road links (A1 and M1), East Midlands airport, Nottingham and the mainline train stations of either Grantham or Market Harborough.

The villages within the Wreake Valley are renowned for being unspoilt with their country walks and popular pubs and for ease of commuting to Leicester and Loughborough whilst schooling options at Ratcliffe and Loughborough Endowed schools are firm favourites.

Grantham Villages & The Vale of Belvoir.
Grantham may be best known as the birthplace of Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, whilst Sir Isaac Newton was also born in the nearby village of Woolsthorpe by Colsterworth. This picturesque market town boasts more than just a few claims to fame however; residents can also benefit from good transport links (A1 and M1) with local hubs in Nottingham (22 miles east) and Lincoln (23 miles north) whilst a train into London Kings Cross from Grantham Train Station takes a little over an hour.

The villages around Grantham have become firm favourites as they have become the Work from Home Belt as the need for the daily commute has decreased and with excellent education on offer, Kesteven and Grantham Girl's School (attended by Mrs Thatcher) and The King's Grammar School (attended by Sir Isaac Newton) families are also attracted to the area.

We have been Estate and Letting agents in and around Grantham and the Vale of Belvoir villages since our inception and it represents one of our most sought-after locations. Overlooked by many, as its name suggests "beautiful view", The Vale of Belvoir is an area of outstanding natural beauty with Belvoir Castle, an eleventh century castle and the ancestral home of the Duke of Rutland, sat proudly at its heart.

Will's Journey with Moores Estate Agents
Meet Will, a Home Owner with a success story to tell about his experience with Moores, a family-run estate agent based in Oakham, Rutland. Will hadn't been actively seeking to sell or move, especially with his wedding plans looming in mid-2024.
However, fate had other plans in store. On Boxing Day, a property alert popped up on Will's phone, showcasing a tempting offer: Tay Close, a property he had his eye on, had just been reduced. Without hesitation, Will reached out to Moores, where Jess, their Oakham and Rutland Villages Expert, swiftly arranged a meeting and captured captivating photographs of his home. Time was of the essence for Will, with a move needed before his wedding day.
Moores went above and beyond by leveraging their extensive network, including their "little black book" of clients seeking properties in Will's neighbourhood. They also tapped into the allure of Oakham and Rutland, drawing in out-of-area buyers attracted by the exceptional schools and picturesque countryside. By the 9th viewing, an offer was submitted to Will, which he gladly accepted on January 16th.
Throughout the process, Moores excelled in communication, ensuring there were no holdups and providing regular updates that kept Will informed and reassured.
