    Why do you need a survey?

    Purchasing a property is always a big investment and it is important to ensure that you are making an informed decision and that you are aware of the condition and market value of a property before you commit to purchase.

    Our Chartered Surveyors are fully trained local experts who are able to provide helpful, friendly and professional advice on all types of property.

    RICS Home Survey Level 1

    (Previously the RICS Condition Report)

    Using a simple 'traffic light' rating focusing on the condition of the property by rating the different parts of the building and flagging up any areas that need attention, identifies any risks and potential legal issues and highlights any urgent defects. Typically, the lowest priced of the surveys, it is aimed at conventional properties and newer homes.

    RICS Home Survey Level 2

    (Previously the RICS Homebuyer Report excluding a valuation)

    This is most suitable for conventional properties which are in reasonable condition. The report gives you more detailed information on the condition, which includes advice about repairs or any ongoing maintenance issues.

    Home Survey Level 3

    (Previously the RICS Building Survey):

    Essential for larger or older properties or if you're planning major works. This most comprehensive report provides you with an in-depth analysis of the property's condition and includes advice on defects, repairs and maintenance options.

    The report does not include a valuation or reinstatement figure, but could be provided, upon request, for a small additional fee.


    Brief Survey & Property Valuation

    We have introduced the Brief Survey and Valuation Report to offer a concise summary of condition and value which is ideally suited to modern properties where prospective purchasers are seeking "peace of mind" as to the condition and value of a property without the full detail of a RICS Home Survey Level 2 or a Building Survey.
