Company Profile
Optimus Property Management was started in 2002 by Ben Rogers and Linda Baxter. It evolved out of a frustration of having their own properties looked after by letting agents that weren’t really doing the things that they promised. They decided that they could do a better job themselves.
Initially the company was set up purely to look after their own portfolio of properties. However, with the advent of the “buy to let” boom, apparent disinterest in shares after the dot-com nightmares, and poor performance of pensions, other friends and colleagues who were investing in property wanted to take advantage of their property knowledge and asked them to look after their property as well.
And this is how the company has evolved. They have no desire to be the largest letting agent in Kent. They don’t want to be heavy on staff and light on personal attention. They don’t want to have too many properties on their books to provide individual service. They want to treat Landlords that use Optimus how they would like to be treated if it was their own property that was being managed.

Today, from our office in Gillingham, we predominantly cover the Medway towns, Maidstone, and surrounding areas.
