Parkinson Property is an independently owned business that has provided a letting and property management service in Lancaster and Morecambe since 1986. The proprietor Andrew Parkinson is accredited with the government backed National Approved Letting Scheme and The Property Ombudsman. These organisations provide protection for both landlords and tenants.
Parkinson Property has reduced the costs of using an agent. We use a radically different business model to that used by traditional letting and property management agencies. We have never really understood why a higher rent should command a higher fee for the agent, when the work involved is exactly the same. There is an inherent unfairness of commission or rent based charges.
Clear pricing and peace of mind is what we are offering. By avoiding the need for a High Street office and offering flat rate charges, Parkinson Property is able to compete with the best at a substantially reduced cost.
Recent surveys show that the majority of people looking for accommodation use the Internet and local press to find a suitable property. A high street presence is no longer so important. We have found that by advertising on the internet through Rightmove and in the local press, together with “To Let” boards on properties, we can access large numbers of potential tenants.
We offer all of the same services and safeguards as a high street agent, which are required by an accredited property management business. We are a team of three, who do not compromise on professionalism, quality or customer service. We have a simple menu of prices for the services that we offer, which are completely transparent. We conduct viewings seven days a week up to 7.00pm. We also have an approved team of professional and reliable contractors for any property maintenance work. We offer a complete service to property owners for total peace of mind.
