We have a large database of ready buyers and proactively market our properties as well as utilising more traditional methods including press and magazine advertising. One of our great strengths is being linked to the largest network of independent UK estate agents, i.e. MoveWithUs and we have circa 1200 associated offices countrywide and can therefore cast the widest possible net of marketing. We are very focused on giving the personal touch and take great pride in ensuring that you remember your dealings with us for the right reasons.

Agreeing the sale When we receive an offer for your home we will liaise between you and the potential buyer to achieve the best possible price, advising you as our client at all times.

Pettengells have consistently one of the largest portfolios of houses, bungalows and apartments along the splendid Lymington to Christchurch coastline and inland bordering the southern fringes of the picturesque New Forest.

We work hard to build a close rapport with buyers, to ensure we are in tune with their individual requirements and we offer a chauffeur service, i.e. let us drive you between the properties until we find you the one that ticks all your boxes!

It may be that we have recently valued a house which is not yet on the internet, but if it has what you are looking for, then we can sometimes arrange an 'early doors' viewing.

Interestingly, in recent times we have been instructed on several properties where the current owners did not necessarily buy their home through our agency originally, but came back to us to sell it, as they specifically commented that Pettengells gave by far the most enthusiastic service when they were looking in the first instance, and we hope this endorsement speaks for itself!

Whilst most homes are best marketed by the traditional 'private treaty' method, there are some properties where the best figure may be achieved by auction or informal tender/sealed bids. We can of course advise and where appropriate coordinate the best method of sale.

Finance/Mortgages

We are happy to recommend a well established and independent local mortgage broker should you require any assistance in this regard.

Land and New Homes

Our company has extensive experience in structuring land deals and over the years we have successfully liaised with a significant number of property developers, large and small, both in terms of selling the land to build on and also successfully marketing the New Build properties on their behalf.

We are happy to assist you to liaise with local firms should you have occasion to rent a property out or indeed wish to rent one yourself.

Vacant Property Management

We offer a property management service on selected vacant properties, i.e. it can often be a home insurance requirement for a house which is not lived in to be visited at least once a week, and we also have connections with local auctioneers and clearance companies as well as gardeners etc. and can make appropriate arrangements when needed.

Kevin Swanney - Partner

Has been an Estate Agent locally since the late 1980's and has gained huge experience working for both independent and larger corporate agencies. In 1994 Kevin joined forces with Chris Lane from the original Pettengells Highcliffe to open our New Milton office. Since then Kevin has been a 'hands on' Resident Partner helping Pettengells New Milton become one of the most successful Estate Agents offices on the south coast. Kevin's main role is valuing and listing properties and he is arguably the most experienced Valuer currently working in the New Milton area. In his spare time Kevin is a keen cyclist and can often be spotted on his bike in all weathers along the local cliff top paths! He lives in Barton On Sea with his wife and two children.

Matthew Jenner -Partner

Has worked together with Kevin Swanney for over 28 years and in his main role as Office Manager oversees the smooth day to day running of the business with partner Stuart Wills at his side. Matthew's enthusiasm and extensive knowledge of the business makes him a core member of the team and he also runs our Sales Progression Department ensuring that agreed sales go through smoothly.

Joined Pettengells as a Trainee Negotiator at the tender age of 17. Stuart has worked his way up through the ranks and is now a partner in the business. He has lived locally all his life, giving him an unrivalled and in-depth knowledge of the area. Stuart leads our team of Negotiators and in his best years has personally sold over 150 properties in a year, which is considerably more than most Estate Agents offices sell in total! He lives close by in Milford on Sea with his wife and three children. Stuart also plays squash in his spare time and most weeks beats Matthew!
