    Professional Inventories 

    Best practice dictates that an inventory should be carried out by an independent professional provider. This ensures an objective fair and balanced view of the condition of the property at the beginning of the tenancy and at the end of the tenancy. This also protects that the property does not deteriorate after each tenancy. Should there be a dispute with a deposit return, then all parties have all the evidence required for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Team, who favour such inventories as it protects all concerned.

    Posidacious and Property Maintenance Visits 
    As a customer in a property we manage you can expect to benefit from a maintenance inspection, which has proved to be a highly popular service for our customer tenants and landlords. The maintenance inspection highlights any repair issues and or defects. This report is given to both you and the landlord via our on line communications system. These reports ensure that your home is well maintained, whilst at the same time making sure the landlords investment property is well cared for. The online communication and repairs system is a cloud based software system that not only has a speed up effect on repairs but also details dates and times of when a report was made to when the repair has been resolved.

    Check outs are Free 
    We pay for the check out to be carried out by the same person who carried out by the professional inventory, to ensure an unbiased and objective view of condition of property for when you vacate. You receive a copy of this report and along with photographic evidence. We are then able to ensure that a fair deposit return process has been carried out to the most professional standard. We use a company who are executive members of the The Association of Independent Inventory Clerks.

    Ian Mitchell Company Director 
    Ian Mitchell established Plymouth Homes Estate Agents in 1999 with Susan Tamblyn and as a result of all of their hard work, honesty and integrity the Plymouth Homes brand boasts an enviable reputation for being one of the most successful agents in Plymouth. Susan retired in 2013 and Ian took sole ownership of the Company. Ian had been considering opening a lettings arm for some years, however was reluctant due to the complex nature of the lettings business and his fear that unless it was managed superbly it could compromise Plymouth Homes excellent reputation. Ian knew that it was imperative that expanding the business into lettings would mean that a qualified and experienced person with exceptional communication skills was required to head the lettings department. Ian had known Jacqui for some time and recognised that she possessed the qualities and experience required to make a fantastic joint Director of Plymouth Homes Lettings. Jacqui has in excess of 23 years in the lettings business, as well as being an accredited landlord, Jacqui is also a fully qualified ARLA agent. This in itself means that the company automatically belongs to a client money protection scheme. All of these credentials ensure a smooth-running company. Together they have the expertise to maintain a positive reputation, whilst fulfilling the company's original ethos of "doing the right thing" The complicated and fast paced world of the private rented sector is something that Jacqui and the lettings team are very passionate about.
