    Spennymoor local information

A town in County Durham, Spennymoor was founded over 160 years ago and stands above the Wear Valley. Some of the most notable landmarks of the town include Whitworth Hall, a famous estate well known for its inclusion in the nursery rhyme "Bobby Shafto's gone to Sea". It is now a site for a well farmed deer park which is enclosed by a walled garden.

Spennymoor Settlement is a centre for the fine arts, with drama and music events regularly appearing in the building, amongst other community events. There are also plans for a brand new Regional Arts Centre.

The local football team is Spennymoor Town F.C and the leisure centre includes the local swimming pool, which offers swimming lessons, football coaching, martial arts tutoring, tennis lessons, badminton practice, a gymnasium and gymnastic workouts. The site is also home to a modern Regional Gymnasium Centre, made possible by a portion of funding from the National Lottery and Sport England.

Sam Jones - Branch Manager / Valuer.

Time Of Service With Robinsons: 12 years next month. It's the only job I've ever had...I started as an apprentice aged 17 at the Bishop Auckland branch then went to our Sedgefield branch as a Sales Negotiator. I then went back to Bishop as Branch Manager / Valuer & have recently moved to the Spennymoor branch (May 2021) doing the same role. Spennymoor is my home town & I'm loving it.

    Years Of Experience: 11 years.

Best Thing About My Job: Making customers happy, doing deals & moving people into their dream home. Also the team that I work alongside...I've made some friends for life. I absolutely love working for Robinsons & am very passionate about winning business (& really enjoy winning instructions over other agents).

Hobbies: I'm a big Sunderland fan (for my sins). I have been a season ticket holder for 16 years now & enjoy following them home & away. I also enjoy going out & socialising with friends & playing football on a Sunday morning for The Masons Arms

Danni Grieve -Sales Negotiator / Administrator
Danni has been with the Robinson's one year, she worked as a Sales Negotiator for the Stockton Branch and moved to Spennymoor branch last year and loves working in her home town. The best thing about her job is t elling customers their offer has been accepted on their dream property and helping vendors get the best price for their properties. Happy customers make a happy work environment - the reaction of a first-time buyer being told their offer has been accepted will never get old!  She enjoys gaming on her PC which she spends a lot of time doing. If she's not gaming, she can be found with her horse Harry. Harry is a young ex racehorse (you may have betted on him at Newcastle Racecourse back in his racing days) who she is am currently retraining.
