    About Hay-on-Wye

    Hay on Wye is a small market town located in the county of Powys, Mid Wales. With beautiful scenic views and rolling countryside surrounding it, Hay on Wye is the perfect location for those who love the outdoors. This quaint town is surprisingly well connected by road, with the A438 located nearby, allowing easy access to the nearby Hereford. The M5, via the M50, is also easily accessible and provides connectivity with the Midlands and South West England. The closest mainline station to Hay on Wye is in Hereford, 21 miles from the town. Here you can access railway services to the likes of Leominster, Abergavenny, Birmingham, Manchester, Cardiff Central and London Paddington.

    There is plenty to do in Hay on Wye and there is sure to be something to entertain each member of the family. For those who love to read, the town is famous for its abundance of second-hand book shops, with over 20 to choose from! If reading is not for you there are plenty of other boutiques, antiques and art shops to keep you busy.
