    Help to Buy is a Government backed scheme designed to help people purchase a new property with just 5% deposit by way of an equity loan of up to 20%, allowing purchasers access to 75% LTV (loan-to-value) mortgages which offer competitive rates.

    The aim of the Help to Buy scheme is to increase the supply of new homes in addition to lower deposit mortgages with more favourable borrowing rates to the market.

    Help to Buy is only available on new build homes with a maximum purchase price of up to £600,000.
