    Abingdon on Thames is a riverside market town, six miles south of Oxford City and is home to just over 35,000 inhabitants.

    Once famous for the Morland Brewery and building the MG sports car, Abingdon dates back to the Middle Iron Age and claims to be the oldest town in Britain in continuous settlement. Abingdon and the outlying villages are regularly voted amongst the most popular to live in the UK, with its historic architecture, extensive employment opportunities and ever growing infrastructure, it is easy to understand why!

    The A34 provides access to the M4 and M40 motorways , London is 62 miles west and can be reached by train via Didcot Parkway rail station in under an hour. The town benefits from regular bus services to Oxford City and nearby villages and towns.

    The town centre has a variety of restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Well known retailers including Waitrose compliment a variety of thriving independent 'High Street' shops including Butchers, Florists and Jewellers. The weekly market visits each Monday in addition to a monthly Farmers Market, both in the town centre Market Place.

    Educationally, Abingdon benefits from three Private Schools, including the renowned Abingdon School. In addition, the majority of the public and academy schools in the area rated either 'good' or 'oustanding' in the most recent Ofsted reports.
