    Guy Straker
    Guy Straker has worked in Estate Agency for over 10 years and joined the firm as a trainee negotiator learning his trade initially in the Chippenham Office before periods in both Corsham and then the Devizes Office where he worked to the position of Residential Valuer and then Manager. The contrasting office styles and differing market conditions in each town has enabled him to gain a wider knowledge of the local markets. With a well respected family name in the local area to maintain, Guy has always striven to go well beyond what is expected from an agent to deliver a most comprehensive and professional service and is delighted to be leading a superb highly motivated team. Guy was appointed as a Director of Strakers in May 2013.

      We are writing to say how pleased we are with the service provided by the staff in your office. We have been searching for a property to buy for the last 18 months over an area stretching from Pewsey in the east to Taunton in the west so have dealt with approximately 50 different estate agents. We are of course aware that agents act for the vendor rather than the purchaser but were unprepared for how unhelpful and sometimes downright rude or even mendacious some agents could be in their dealings with us. Strakers Devizes office was an outstanding exception. We had dealings mostly with Nick Catlin but all other staff we encountered were also unfailingly helpful, friendly and professional. We were recognised on coming into the office and never had to repeat our search criteria. You always seemed to know the type of property we were looking for and went to great trouble to give us early notification of any suitable properties coming on the market and then promptly arrange viewings to suit our timetable. Your staff were always a pleasure to deal with and we are only sorry that we ended up buying through another agent and not Strakers.
