    Joe Lyddon - Director
    Joe`s family have lived in the centre of Oxford for generations and he has grown up in Didcot and the surrounding villages. He started his career in the local area at 20 years of age and became well known quickly for his enthusiasm, application to the job, local connections, and general work ethic. Joe then moved to London for 4 years where he ran and grew a large office in South West London for one of the city's largest estate agents. After working in London for a number of years Joe is well known for embracing all elements of estate agency in its most modern form with respect to marketing, social media, multi office representation of our properties, staff training, and the most proactive internal processes to ensure our offering here at Thomas Merrifield is noticeably different to our competitors. Joe joined Thomas Merrifield as a director and the changes he has made to the office have made our branch the market leader in OX11 in all areas and price ranges. His local knowledge and London experience make him a very complete estate agent; and he has been a large part of our significant growth in the last few years. Joe runs the office alongside Nick Wilder and specialises in residential valuations & sales across the town & villages.

    Arguably the longest serving estate agent in South Oxfordshire, having worked in the town for some years Nick first opened Thomas Merrifield's doors in Didcot in 1998 and never looked back. His wealth of knowledge and experience is second to none, often counted on by many local contacts for his impeccable experience on a vast variety of property styles, build types and age. Nicks incredibly honest and trustworthy personality has for your years seen the returning custom of hundreds if not thousands of clients, many of which have trusted in Nick to provide an unrivalled service time and time again. Nick enjoys a busy homelife with an ever-expanding family and messing around with a variety of decaying Land Rovers.

    Jamie Prescott - Sales Manager 
    OX11 resident and homeowner Jamie is a very well-connected individual having grown up and worked within Didcot for the majority of his life. 10+ years within the industry has seen Jamie rapidly climb the estate agency ladder and has for the majority of his career ran a successful local branch dealing with a variety of house styles and price ranges. The reason for this success is down to Jamie's very open and honest approach towards the valuing, marketing strategy and management of the successful sale of your home combined with a hardworking and dynamic approach to ensuring the smoothest transaction at the best possible price. Outside of the property world and having recently become a father, Jamie spends the majority of his time with his family; though you may see him around the golf course on a weekend where time allows.

    George Mayes - Sales Manager 
    George has grown up and lived in Didcot for the majority of his life, more recently having purchased his first home on the Ladygrove. Now approaching nearly 10 years in the industry, he started his career off in Abingdon as a sales negotiator for a corporate agency before making the jump up to Thomas Merrifield, where his hard work ethic and success has seen him climb to become Sales Manager. In his own words: "Everyday is completely different, from visiting and seeing a variety of properties across Didcot and the surrounding villages and helping my clients agree a sale for their home and finding them their next dream home, there is no better feeling and I get a real buzz for the job" In his spare time, George enjoys attending music festivals with friends and also regularly heads up to London to support his football team; Tottenham Hotspur which doesn't always end in the result he'd wish for!

    Luke Crawshaw - Senior Valuer 
    Luke is born and bred in South Oxfordshire and has worked within the OX11 market for the past 6 years. Having taken a step up and moving to Thomas Merrifield in early 2022, Luke's pro-active nature and open approach is already seeing the return of many previous sellers & purchasers. Having bought his first property in 2020, Luke understands first-hand the potential stresses and complications that can come with buying a property. Outside of his busy work life, you'll find Luke spending quality family time with his young son and also attempting a round of 18 holes in his newly found love of golf!
