    Village Properties is well known in Tilehurst & Reading for our long-established and respected lettings service. The team of Ron Westbury & Nikki Gardner live locally and are very knowledgeable about property in the Reading area. With many years of experience & a friendly, helpful approach, we specialise in full property management and deal with a broad spectrum of homes in the lettings market around Reading. We offer a tailored 'no let - no fee' service with low set-up costs once a tanant is found. Our aim is to find good, reliable tenants & to provide a fully inclusive, fuss-free, 'leave everything to us' service. We also include a free Rent Guarantee insurance policy for the first year of tenancy.
    Village Properties is a member of NAEA (the National Association of Estate Agents), ARLA (the Association of Residential Letting Agents) and the Property Ombudsman for Lettings which ensures we maintain a high level of integrity & best business practice. We keep up to date with changing legislation, so landlords & tenants are fully aware of their rights and obligations. Security deposits are lodged in the approved Tenancy Deposit Schemes & we can also provide information on Rent Protection & Landlord's property insurance if required. Much of our business is by word of mouth, from returning clients & from recommendations from satisfied landlords or tenants.
    Our lettings team are on hand to efficiently deal with any property maintenance issues with a team of local, reliable, price-sensitive workmen. In addition, we are happy to work with the landlord's own preferred trades people if required.

    Charlie Higgs - Director
    Charlie has been an estate agent in the Reading area since 1996 and after a few years with a corporate agency, joined Village Properties in 2004 as a sales negotiator. Since then he has progressed through the ranks within the company, ultimately becoming a director & co-owner in 2012. Charlie's roles embrace valuation of residential property in the Tilehurst and surrounding areas and the marketing/development of the Village Properties brand.

    In his spare time Charlie is a keen golfer and a member of Calcot Park Golf Club. He also enjoys visiting the USA, watching shows at the West End and keeping fit at his local gym.

    Mike Haas - Director
    Mike joined Village Properties in 1982 and became a co-owner in 1985. His role in the office is to progress the busy sales department and with his many years of experience, does everything in his power to ensure that sales transactions reach a satisfactory completion. He also looks after the day-to-day administration of the sales office and as a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor, supports Simon in conducting EPCs.

    Outside of work Mike enjoys watching most sports, has a varied taste in music, likes to travel as often as possible & walking the family dog with his wife of 28 years.

    Charlie Hayes - Director
    Charlie Hayes has been an estate agent for 11 years starting his career in 2005 working in the West Reading area. Having lived and worked in West Reading and Tilehurst all his life Charlie's knowledge of the local area is first rate. Charlie is a family man and has recently married his wife Hayley who also works for Village Properties in the Lettings department part time. Charlie and Hayley have 2 daughters currently at local secondary and primary schools in Tilehurst. Charlie's enthusiasm and energy is fantastic and once met is never forgotten of which helps Charlie succeed in his specialised role at Village Properties in selling and appraising property.

    Outside work, Charlie is a very keen carp angler, golfer and enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

    Nikki Gardner - Lettings Director
    Nikki has been working at Village Properties for the last 5 years. Nikki first started out helping out in the sales office on Saturdays. Her aptitude and willingness to learn quickly meant she was offered a role in our new Lettings office which was to be opened next door to our Sales office. With the commitments of a young family, Nikki took on a part time role in the Lettings team, eventually going full time early 2012. Promoted to Lettings Director in March 2013, Nikki has gone from strength to strength and has been instrumental in driving the lettings division of Village Properties forward. With over 150 rental properties on the books and tenants queuing up, the lettings office is a busy place!

    Outside of work Nikki most loves spending time with her two young boys.

    Sarahjane - Sales Progression
    Sarahjane is the latest addition to our sales team and has already made a massive impact. She's very professional when dealing with our clients and is a fantastic team player. Being from Tilehurst, Sarajane's knowledge of the local area is a real asset to the company when dealing with customers.

    Sarajane is married and has 2 children who go to Park Lane School in Tilehurst village and Denefield School off Long Lane in Tilehurst. She also enjoys socialising with family and friends, walking her dog and reading.
