The practice was acquired by NJB Carnall FRICS in 1980 when William Adlington Barnes died and THM Smith FRICS joined as a partner in 1995.
The practice currently employs a total of nine staff and specializes in the sale by private treaty of residential and commercial property, building society and private
surveys on residential and commercial property, house buyers surveys, the letting and management of residential and commercial property, lease renewals and rent reviews, agricultural management, rating and planning appeals, compensation claims for compulsory acquisitions and coal mining subsidence claims.
In addition, we act as independent experts on boundary disputes and other legal disputes.
