Dulverton is located on the Southern fringe of the Exmoor National Park and has a population of approximately 1400 people. The town itself offers a unique range of shopping facilities, bank, chemist, doctors, dentist, post office, schools, local inns and restaurants and offers good social and sporting amenities for a town of its size. Tiverton and Minehead, both South and North respectively, are a short drive away and offer more extensive facilities and amenities in addition to schools for all ages.
Since the 1950's Dulverton has been the main administrative centre of the Exmoor National Park Authority and as such has become known as the "Gateway to Exmoor". While Exmoor is one of the smallest national parks it is probably one of the most attractive with a wide variety of scenery ranging from high moorland (over 1700 feet at Dunkery Beacon) to deep wooded river valleys and quaint villages. The moor provides a range of outdoor facilities and pursuits including walking, riding, shooting and game fishing on the Rivers Barle and Exe.
Dulverton and Exmoor benefit from good road links to the North Devon Link Road and M5 in addition to main line rail connections at Tiverton and Taunton.
The Dulverton office of Webbers has been trading since the late 1970's and is now recognised as a leading independent estate agency on Exmoor.
