      Whilst Westbourne is home to Starbucks and Costa Coffee, it's Patisserie Angelique that we most highly recommend. Toby and Phillipe serve the best croissants, cakes and coffee in Westbourne. What better way to start your day?

      We also love the Westbourne Coffee Club, a family run bistro inspired by a love of fresh ingredients and the Mediterranean. Pinnochio's Italian restaurant is a family favourite whilst Soho offers delicious wood fired pizzas. Indi and the Westbourne Tandoori are both excellent Indian restaurants. And for a quiet meal, we recommend you head to Romanzo's Greek Taverna.

      For those with something to celebrate, The Edge restaurant would be top of our list, with stunning sea views from its top floor restaurant. The Eau de Vie is a quirky cocktail bar that also serves food and is well worth a visit.

      Bournemouth has a wide variety of bars and clubs to enjoy but you needn't leave Westbourne for a fun night out. Circo Lounge is a popular place to meet friends and The Pig and Whistle runs popular comedy and live music events.

      The Westbourne Pub, run by Sean and serving good value pub grub, is a great place to catch the game. While The Inn in the Park's Sunday roast is hard to beat, and one of the area's best kept secrets. Finally, if you just fancy a quiet drink then look no further than CAMRA award-winning Porterhouse.

      Westbourne has its own Victorian shopping arcade where you'll find a number of boutiques, Westbourne Hardware and DIY store as well as the traditional newsagents shop Fair Trader

      Westbourne is also home to many independent shops including the gift store Number 83. Parachute Fruit & Veg is a local favourite and Badger and Bumble stock organic produce.

      Peter Trebles is a fantastic family butchers that sells everything from organic chicken to more exotic tastes such as crocodile meat. Seafood lovers should make their way to the corner of Seamoor Road every Tuesday, where our mobile fishmonger sells local fish and shellfish fresh from the sea.

      Shoppers are also well-catered for in Bournemouth and Poole. Both boast many popular large chains and interesting independents, whilst the latter is also home to Dorset's largest indoor shopping centre
