Central Scotland, with an overall average price of £207,850, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Glasgow and Surrounding Areas (£203,531), but was more expensive than South West Scotland (£173,734) and cheaper than Edinburgh and Lothian (£309,130). The priciest area within Central Scotland was Stirling (County) (£262,997) and the least expensive was Dundee (County) (£167,520).
During the last year, sold prices in Central Scotland were similar to the previous year and 29% down on 2007 when the average house price was £292,186.
