Central Scotland, with an overall average price of £206,604, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Glasgow and Surrounding Areas (£204,004), but was more expensive than South West Scotland (£174,576) and cheaper than Edinburgh and Lothian (£311,565). The priciest area within Central Scotland was Stirling (County) (£269,878) and the least expensive was Dundee (County) (£169,351).
During the last year, sold prices in Central Scotland were similar to the previous year and 29% down on 2007 when the average house price was £292,178.
