Last year most property sales in North East involved terraced properties which sold for on average £145,626. Semi-detached properties sold for an average price of £182,345, while detached properties fetched £338,453.
North East, with an overall average price of £191,098 was cheaper than nearby North West (£241,880), Yorkshire and the Humber (£238,223) and East Midlands (£264,125). The priciest area within North East was Northumberland (£244,754) and the least expensive was County Durham (£164,831).
During the last year, sold prices in North East were 4% down on the previous year and similar to 2021 when the average house price was £191,032.
