Most of the sales in Suffolk over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £345,974. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £186,691 and semi-detached properties averaged at £216,638.

Suffolk, with an overall average price of £243,785 was more expensive than nearby Norfolk (£225,038), but was cheaper than Essex (£317,855) and Cambridgeshire (£275,952). The most expensive area within Suffolk was Walberswick (£624,423) and the cheapest was Brandon (£160,435).

In the past year house prices in Suffolk were 3% up on the year before and 18% up on 2013 when they averaged at £206,896.
