Last year most property sales in West Yorkshire involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £147,017. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £113,806, while detached properties fetched £266,630.

West Yorkshire, with an overall average price of £154,896 was more expensive than nearby South Yorkshire (£139,512) and East Riding Of Yorkshire (£144,305), but was cheaper than North Yorkshire (£198,822). The priciest area within West Yorkshire was Woolley (£577,812) and the least expensive was Beeston (£83,942).

During the last year, sold prices in West Yorkshire were 3% up on the previous year and similar to 2010 when the average house price was £156,320.
