Last year most property sales in Yorkshire and the Humber involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £150,855. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £124,519, while detached properties fetched £266,382.
Yorkshire and the Humber, with an overall average price of £165,731, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby North West (£165,463) and East Midlands (£173,217), but was more expensive than North East (£148,436). The priciest area within Yorkshire and the Humber was North Yorkshire (£205,241) and the least expensive was South Yorkshire (£145,482).
During the last year, sold prices in Yorkshire and the Humber were 3% up on the previous year and 3% up on 2010 when the average house price was £161,203.
