Last year most property sales in Yorkshire and the Humber involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £153,609. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £126,680, while detached properties fetched £271,478.
Yorkshire and the Humber, with an overall average price of £169,215, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby North West (£168,674), but was more expensive than North East (£151,169) and cheaper than East Midlands (£178,326). The priciest area within Yorkshire and the Humber was North Yorkshire (£210,591) and the least expensive was South Yorkshire (£148,833).
During the last year, sold prices in Yorkshire and the Humber were 3% up on the previous year and 5% up on 2010 when the average house price was £161,245.
