Last year most property sales in Yorkshire and the Humber involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £152,163. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £126,210, while detached properties fetched £267,479.
Yorkshire and the Humber, with an overall average price of £167,579, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby North West (£167,385) and East Midlands (£175,346), but was more expensive than North East (£150,748). The priciest area within Yorkshire and the Humber was North Yorkshire (£207,006) and the least expensive was South Yorkshire (£147,445).
During the last year, sold prices in Yorkshire and the Humber were 4% up on the previous year and 4% up on 2010 when the average house price was £161,217.
