Last year most property sales in Yorkshire and the Humber involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £154,394. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £127,365, while detached properties fetched £272,689.
Yorkshire and the Humber, with an overall average price of £170,354, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby North West (£170,254), but was more expensive than North East (£152,769) and cheaper than East Midlands (£179,912). The priciest area within Yorkshire and the Humber was North Yorkshire (£212,421) and the least expensive was South Yorkshire (£149,319).
During the last year, sold prices in Yorkshire and the Humber were 3% up on the previous year and 6% up on 2010 when the average house price was £161,242.
