Last year most property sales in Yorkshire and the Humber involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £163,356. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £133,339, while detached properties fetched £291,304.
Yorkshire and the Humber, with an overall average price of £182,499, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby North West (£181,880), but was more expensive than North East (£157,914) and cheaper than East Midlands (£196,865). The priciest area within Yorkshire and the Humber was North Yorkshire (£228,632) and the least expensive was South Yorkshire (£157,143).
During the last year, sold prices in Yorkshire and the Humber were 3% up on the previous year and 10% up on 2014 when the average house price was £166,187.
