Last year most property sales in Yorkshire and the Humber involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £159,031. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £130,537, while detached properties fetched £281,924.
Yorkshire and the Humber, with an overall average price of £175,426, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby North West (£174,265), but was more expensive than North East (£153,738) and cheaper than East Midlands (£186,556). The priciest area within Yorkshire and the Humber was North Yorkshire (£218,972) and the least expensive was South Yorkshire (£152,239).
During the last year, sold prices in Yorkshire and the Humber were 3% up on the previous year and 9% up on 2010 when the average house price was £161,347.
