Last year most property sales in Yorkshire and the Humber involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £159,615. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £130,743, while detached properties fetched £282,127.
Yorkshire and the Humber, with an overall average price of £175,783, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby North West (£174,871), but was more expensive than North East (£153,803) and cheaper than East Midlands (£187,730). The priciest area within Yorkshire and the Humber was North Yorkshire (£219,256) and the least expensive was South Yorkshire (£153,004).
During the last year, sold prices in Yorkshire and the Humber were similar to the previous year and 9% up on 2010 when the average house price was £161,354.
