Last year most property sales in Yorkshire and the Humber involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £149,017. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £123,052, while detached properties fetched £260,793.
Yorkshire and the Humber, with an overall average price of £163,211, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby North West (£163,651) and East Midlands (£170,809), but was more expensive than North East (£147,282). The priciest area within Yorkshire and the Humber was North Yorkshire (£202,316) and the least expensive was South Yorkshire (£143,739).
During the last year, sold prices in Yorkshire and the Humber were 3% up on the previous year and similar to 2010 when the average house price was £161,191.
