Last year most property sales in Yorkshire and the Humber involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £158,721. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £129,933, while detached properties fetched £282,163.
Yorkshire and the Humber, with an overall average price of £175,174, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby North West (£174,046), but was more expensive than North East (£153,866) and cheaper than East Midlands (£185,965). The priciest area within Yorkshire and the Humber was North Yorkshire (£219,206) and the least expensive was South Yorkshire (£152,310).
During the last year, sold prices in Yorkshire and the Humber were 3% up on the previous year and 8% up on 2010 when the average house price was £161,626.
