Last year most property sales in Yorkshire and the Humber involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £149,488. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £123,301, while detached properties fetched £263,245.
Yorkshire and the Humber, with an overall average price of £163,972, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby North West (£164,294) and East Midlands (£171,697), but was more expensive than North East (£147,802). The priciest area within Yorkshire and the Humber was North Yorkshire (£203,435) and the least expensive was South Yorkshire (£143,869).
During the last year, sold prices in Yorkshire and the Humber were 3% up on the previous year and similar to 2010 when the average house price was £161,192.
