Last year most property sales in Yorkshire and the Humber involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £158,627. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £129,779, while detached properties fetched £280,945.
Yorkshire and the Humber, with an overall average price of £174,796, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby North West (£174,064), but was more expensive than North East (£153,110) and cheaper than East Midlands (£186,134). The priciest area within Yorkshire and the Humber was North Yorkshire (£219,076) and the least expensive was South Yorkshire (£151,550).
During the last year, sold prices in Yorkshire and the Humber were similar to the previous year and 8% up on 2010 when the average house price was £161,344.
