Last year most property sales in Yorkshire and the Humber involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £153,295. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £125,465, while detached properties fetched £269,802.
Yorkshire and the Humber, with an overall average price of £168,115, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby North West (£168,096), but was more expensive than North East (£150,863) and cheaper than East Midlands (£176,896). The priciest area within Yorkshire and the Humber was North Yorkshire (£208,659) and the least expensive was South Yorkshire (£148,500).
During the last year, sold prices in Yorkshire and the Humber were 3% up on the previous year and 4% up on 2010 when the average house price was £161,235.
