Last year most property sales in Yorkshire and the Humber involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £146,089. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £119,139, while detached properties fetched £256,214.
Yorkshire and the Humber, with an overall average price of £160,205, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby North West (£159,198) and East Midlands (£164,422), but was more expensive than North East (£143,368). The priciest area within Yorkshire and the Humber was North Yorkshire (£199,077) and the least expensive was South Yorkshire (£138,696).
During the last year, sold prices in Yorkshire and the Humber were similar to the previous year and similar to 2010 when the average house price was £161,159.
