Last year most property sales in Yorkshire and the Humber involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £147,144. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £120,382, while detached properties fetched £257,598.
Yorkshire and the Humber, with an overall average price of £161,292, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby North West (£160,679) and East Midlands (£166,851), but was more expensive than North East (£144,188). The priciest area within Yorkshire and the Humber was North Yorkshire (£199,472) and the least expensive was South Yorkshire (£141,342).
During the last year, sold prices in Yorkshire and the Humber were 3% up on the previous year and similar to 2010 when the average house price was £161,194.
