Last year most property sales in Yorkshire and the Humber involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £168,626. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £136,476, while detached properties fetched £302,275.
Yorkshire and the Humber, with an overall average price of £188,031, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby North West (£190,259), but was more expensive than North East (£162,339) and cheaper than East Midlands (£205,270). The priciest area within Yorkshire and the Humber was North Yorkshire (£232,298) and the least expensive was South Yorkshire (£162,446).
During the last year, sold prices in Yorkshire and the Humber were 3% up on the previous year and 8% up on 2015 when the average house price was £173,870.
