Last year most property sales in Yorkshire and the Humber involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £162,285. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £132,769, while detached properties fetched £288,763.
Yorkshire and the Humber, with an overall average price of £180,009, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby North West (£179,427), but was more expensive than North East (£156,367) and cheaper than East Midlands (£193,132). The priciest area within Yorkshire and the Humber was North Yorkshire (£224,426) and the least expensive was South Yorkshire (£155,961).
During the last year, sold prices in Yorkshire and the Humber were 3% up on the previous year and 8% up on 2014 when the average house price was £166,189.
