Last year most property sales in Axminster involved detached properties which sold for on average £268,699. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £159,645, while semi-detached properties fetched £167,570.

Axminster, with an overall average price of £197,528, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Seaton (£204,935), but was cheaper than Colyton (£249,176) and Beer (£299,180).

During the last year, sold prices in Axminster were 9% up on the previous year and 11% down on 2008 when the average house price was £222,058.
