Last year most property sales in Berwick-Upon-Tweed involved terraced properties which sold for on average £161,409. Detached properties sold for an average price of £285,473, while semi-detached properties fetched £128,278.
Berwick-Upon-Tweed, with an overall average price of £177,892, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Belford (£182,042), but was cheaper than Cornhill-On-Tweed (£189,263) and Wooler (£222,674).
During the last year, sold prices in Berwick-Upon-Tweed were 20% up on the previous year and 14% up on 2009 when the average house price was £155,554.
