Last year most property sales in Berwick-Upon-Tweed involved terraced properties which sold for on average £153,953. Semi-detached properties sold for an average price of £137,242, while detached properties fetched £256,329.
Berwick-Upon-Tweed, with an overall average price of £163,725, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Wooler (£162,454), but was cheaper than Cornhill-On-Tweed (£189,947) and Mindrum (£201,250).
During the last year, sold prices in Berwick-Upon-Tweed were 4% down on the previous year and 6% up on 2009 when the average house price was £154,052.
