The majority of sales in Birmingham during the last year were terraced properties, selling for an average price of £124,027. Semi-detached properties sold for an average of £153,054, with flats fetching £104,091.

Birmingham, with an overall average price of £145,587 was more expensive than nearby Birmingham City Centre (£129,178), Sparkhill (£134,804) and Small Heath (£101,117).

Overall sold prices in Birmingham over the last year were similar to the previous year and 5% down on the 2007 level of £152,723.
